Juggernaut/Wonder Woman. Part 6 "Pursuit"
A blur of crimson, and flesh streaks across the sky, as sonic booms go off causing the ground the to shake. One might think this is a meteor coming into the atmosphere. Those people would be wrong.
This object is the Amazonian Warrior Princess, Wonder Woman, and the Exemplar of Destruction, Juggernaut hot in pursuit of their children's kidnappers. They were unable to prevent some speedster from taking the twins as they fended off an army.
The brownish blur of that speedster can be seen in the Horizon, but more and more robots seem to getting in the way trying to them slow down. They fail, as Cain Marko has put his impenetrable shield around them turning them into a bowling ball of destruction as they trudge through the hordes. The two brutes who were at the house are being carried away and do not bother to turn and fight.
They are catching up to the speedster as many types of terrain pass beneath them. They cross the Atlantic Ocean and head into Europe. Neither Diana or Cain realize when the fleeing fleet take them into the dreaded country Latveria.
As this happens the countries defense network comes on line and targets the two. Missiles designed to destroy even the strongest meta human are launched. Wonder Woman doesn't realign her path as the missile's blast can not penetrate the Juggernaut's force field. They are however enough to slow down Diana enough for the retreating force to get to a cold dreary castle.
As the last of the attack force enters the castle a force field goes up. Diana regaining her speed throws the duo into the force field as fast as she can. While there is some initial resistance, it quickly gives way and they go crashing threw the castle's walls inside to the the hallways causing the entire castle to shake.
They drive into the main courtroom, which is where the entire force is gathered. Down below the three figures from the kidnapping are standing in the middle surrounded by a small army. The babies are nowhere to be seen.
Diana quickly drops Cain aiming as close to the three people as much as possible. With this added boost of speed Cain attempts to take out the fast one first but as he begins to punch she moves away faster than Cain can see.
He doesn't hesitate though and rolls forward on landing and into the first big brute he can. This causes the golden and red armored creature to get thrown backwards into a wall. Cain quickly comes around bringing the backside of his fist with it striking into the green skinned monster's jaw. Sending him into the other wall on the far side. As mountain of robots begin to pile on him. The Juggernaut quickly remedies this by slamming his fists together causing a shockwave to knock them backwards into the wall. The green skinned brute is back up and charges back at Cain. Unleashing a punch that reverberates throughout the entire room. Causing pillars to crack, and floors to split.
Diana was never intending to get into a drawn out fight. Using the same tactic they used on them, she is using Cain as the distraction. This way she can go after the most dangerous one, the speedster. As the brown blur moves to miss Cain punch, they have no chance to avoid the speedblitzing Wonder Woman. The force is so swift, so sudden that it causes the two of them to fly through the nearest wall. Diana uses her superior strength to wrest the person into the ground on their back. It is then that the dimly lit room reveals that the speedster is none other than Barbara Ann Minerva the Cheetah. Cheetah let's out a small smile as Wonder Woman begins to demand to know where her children are at.
It is at this time the golden armored monster emerges from behind and hits Diana off of the Cheetah.
"Thanks Kurse," is all Barbara says to the larger man.
"I am Ulik, I have taken on Thor," calls out the green skinned monster. As he let's another punch fly causing Cain's helmet to fly off.
"Good for you Ugly I actually beat Thor," Cain says unfazed by the attack. He grabs the rock troll and picks him up over his head, and slams him through the ground.
Just then Kurse is seen being knocked through a wall, followed by the Cheetah running away from Diana. Cain begins to go over and help but then a sudden, sharp pain hits his mind. Cain realizes what this is from his former attacks on the X-Men and his brother. His mind is being assaulted telepathically. Normally his helmet would shield him from this but it being knocked off means Cain is at the assault's mercy. He blacks out soon afterwards.
Diana manages to get Cheetah. She has the Cheetah's neck grasped in her hand, when a sudden energy blasts hits her from behind. It is enough to cause her to fall down to her knees. Then both Ulik and Kurse walk up behind her. She is dazed, and hurt so when they both raise their hand to strike there is nothing she can do. The attack is swift and the darkness takes Diana before she ever hits the ground.
Cain and Diana begin to come to hours later. They are in holding tubes that they can see out of. The first things they see is Cheetah, Ulik, and Kurse standing in front. Behind them they see a metallic looking figured dressed in a green cloak. Beside him are two shadowy figures they can not make out.
The Metallic figure walks up to the tanks, and speaks to them in a calm, cold, and powerful voice.
"Welcome to Castle Doom."

Part 5
Cable vs Bastion vs Magneto
At the Sentinel factory a magnetic pulse overrides the central sentinel programming. Commanding the machines through the main computer, Magneto changes their prime directive from the extermination of mutantkind to the extermination of mankind.
In New York a vast army of sentinels surround the X-men; Havok, Rogue, Gambit, Polaris, Iceman, Banshee and Nightcrawler, waiting for more mutants to approach and become exterminated. The X-men have become a trap. Suddenly the Sentinel's programming changes and they abandon the X-men only to begin extermination the human population in vast numbers.
In the bowels of the Sentinel factory, only hesitant because of Magneto's actions, a battered and bruised Cable pulls out a large gun. With lightning speed Bastion punches the gun away and extending his free arm He punches Cable in the chest knocking the Mutant to the ground. He stands over Cable his arms charging with energy ready to fire.
"I don't understand, why hasn't your programming changed from destroying mutants to humans?" Cable rasps.
Bastion's reply is cold and metallic. "I am above the core programming. I am the creator of the sentinel factory. I am superior."
Before Bastion can deliver a killing blow, Magneto hovers down into the largely cluttered and wired basement from the control room above. Using his magnetic powers he controls Bastion's metal body like a puppet, raising him high into the air and throwing him into a wall. He then levitates Cable by his metal, techno-organic arm.
Drawing the mutant close to himself Magneto smiles and taunts Cable.
"Being one of Xavier's lackeys, we are already at odds Cable. Imagine if you found out who I made a deal with to learn the location of the sentinel factory."
Magneto whispers in Cable's ear.
Bastion leaps forward, recovered from Magneto's attack and fires an energy blast at Magneto, causing him to drop Cable. Falling to the floor Cable lands by the gun that Bastion had disarmed Cable of earlier.
Bastion attempts another blast but Magneto raises a huge metal girder between them, shielding himself from the attack. Then Magneto buries Bastion under a pile of metal machinery, wiring and scaffolding. An energy blast from Cable's gun hits Magneto in the side of the helmet, reducing it to shreds.
Peeling away the remains of his helmet Magneto attempts the respond but the Astonishing X-men crash through a nearby wall, coming to Cable's aid....
At the X-mansion, Xavier attempts to keep up on the status of the teams.
A large object hits the side of the mansion causing it to explode.

Lots of X-men vs lots of X-Villains
At the X-mansion, Xavier attempts to keep up on the status of the teams.
A large object hits the side of the mansion causing it to explode. Lady Deathstrike strolls into the X-mansion through the massive hole she left in the side of a building. Students scatter in different directions, panicking. Angel, Darwin, Psylocke and Forge block her path in the main entrance hall.
Darwin raises his fists. "Get out of our house."
Deathstrike smiles.
Xavier in Cerebro picks up on numerous attacks by X-villains from all over the planet. The majority of his team are either fighting Magneto in a sentinel factory in Germany or defending civilians in New York. Xavier attempts to use his augmented abilities under Cerebro to help his students. Unfortunately this plan is prevented by an energy blast from behind that knocks Xavier out.
Mr Sinister stands over Xavier. "My Master will be pleased...."
In New York Sentinels reprogrammed by Magneto are attacking innocent civilians. Havok, Rogue, Gambit, Polaris, Iceman, Banshee and Nightcrawler who were previously trapped by the robots now try to aid those who fear them.
A screaming woman cowers underneath a sentinel's foot until it freezes before it can crush her. Ice-man then generates a massive ice fist shattering it. Nightcawler teleports into a large office block, teleporting many away as energy beams from numerous sentinels assault the building. The building explodes on each side and begins to collapse. Polaris struggles to keep the building together as she is hit by a sentinel blast, knocking her onto a roof.
Banshee is surrounded by sentinels. His scream shatters several but more and more approach. Havok fires his blast at an abandoned building which falls on the sentinels as Banshee flies free.
Lady Deathstrike leaps forward and jumps over Darwin. In mid air she kicks him head first into the ground. Landing between Angel and Forge she slices Forge's gun in half and kicks Angel into the stair banisters. Psylocke attempts to stab Deathstrike with her psychic blade but the villain ducks the attack. Deathstrike extends her claws attempting to claw Psylocke who flips away from the attack.
Forge attempts to punch Deathstrike who judo flips him over into Darwin knocking them down. Angel bursts free from the stairway wreckage and grabs Lady Deathstrike by the shoulders and flying her against a wall. Deathstrike crashes through the wall into a living room, empty of students.
In Tokyo, Sunfire flies high into the air. Immediately below him, the Japanese armed forces prepare for combat, tanks lined up. Suddenly from the sky descend hundreds of Sentinels. Sunfire takes down some with heat blasts, but the majority of sentinels fly straight past him attacking the army of homo sapiens below.
Deathstrike kicks a chair that flies straight towards Forge's head. Forge withdraws a retractable sword, slicing it in half. Darwin steps forward but Deathstrike reacts first clawing his face. The first clawing scratches him but his skin becomes diamond hard and Deathstrike cannot penetrate it. She attempts to retreat, but Angel flaps his wings and a strong gust knocks her back to Darwin who grabs her wrists. Forge straps powerful cuffs onto Lady Deathstrike and Psylocke knocks Deathstrike out with her blade.
In Wakanda, Black Panther encourages his men to prepare for the attack. Storm calls upon lightning and fries the circuits of numerous approaching sentinels. However she cannot stop the tidal wave of robots as the ignore her and swarm upon the Wakandian army.
In Times Square Gambit, Polaris, Havok, Banshee, Rogue, Iceman and Nightcrawler defend a large group of screaming civilians as Sentinels approach from all sides. The team combine forces, protecting the group as more and more Sentinels approach. Suddenly a large shadow is cast over the group.
"Sacre Bleu!!! NO!!! NOT HIM!!!" Gambit announces as a giant Sphinx begins to descend in the middle of New York, crushing several office blocks.....

Part 7
Astonishing team and Cable vs Magneto
In a German sentinel factory, responsible for the global output of sentinels, Magneto, through deceiving the X-men has managed to change the core sentinel programming from the eradication of mutants to humans. After defeating Bastion, Magneto reveals to Cable the mastermind behind recent events, but before he can destroy Cable, the X-men arrive.
An optic blast knocks down a wall and the X-men rush in. Magneto raises hundreds of pieces of metal machinery into the air and sends several flying towards the X-men. Cyclops shoots down several parts but he is not quick enough to destroy a piece that turns in mid air and flies straight towards him. At the last moment Beast scoops Scott off the ground and leaps away from the attack.
Wolverine ducks and dives away from a machinery. Jumping onto a large piece, he pushes off of it jumping through the air onto other pieces of flying machinery. He jumps again and again off floating machinery until he is right behind Magneto. However as he leaps towards Magneto's back, claws extended, Magneto controls his skeleton and sends him flying around in a magnetic cyclone.
Emma Frost stands away from the battle and attempts to attack Magneto telepathically as Cable had already destroyed his helmet. However she receives a telepathic distress signal from Xavier as the Professor is knocked out by Mr Sinister. The feedback stuns Emma.
Colossus is sent whizzing round the room by Magneto who orchestrates Colossus flight path so he crashes into Wolverine, knocking Logan out. Then the are both sent straight at Shadowcat who narrowly avoids them thanks to some acrobatics and phasing. Cable gets unsteadily to his feet and standing down behind Magneto, who is hovering several feet above, Cable raises his hi-tech gun and shoots Magneto in the back.
Stunned, Magneto drops to the ground. Cable walks up to Magneto, points the gun to the back of his head and attempts to fire. Before he can Magneto causes the gun to fly upwards out of Cable's hand. He then sends a large metal coil around Cable, binding him.
Beast leaps around the complex, holding Cyclops as he leaps over machinery, rolls away from a large dislodged buzzsaw and runs over the top of a broken rolling sentinel head. Leaping off Beast bounces off a wall and manages to position himself and Cyclops high up away from the battle on a metal platform. Cyclops fires a well placed optic blast that hits Magneto in the head, knocking the villain into a small crater in the floor.
Instantly Magneto rises up and ensnares all the X-men in large metal coils. The platform Cyclops and Beast stood on wraps around them, binding them to the wall.
"ENOUGH!" Shouts Emma who has regained her composition. She telepathic attacks Magneto, brutally taking him down in writhing agony. Magneto drops to the ground along with all the metal in the room and the X-men are able to break free. Stripping away his mind and causing excruciating pain, Emma learns the mastermind behind the operation, the name Magneto whispered in Cable's ear......
In Times Square Gambit, Polaris, Havok, Banshee, Rogue, Iceman and Nightcrawler defend a large group of screaming civilians as Sentinels approach from all sides. The team combine forces, protecting the group as more and more Sentinels approach. Suddenly a large shadow is cast over the group.
"Sacre Bleu!!! NO!!! NOT HIM!!!" Gambit announces as a giant Sphinx begins to descend in the middle of New York, crushing several office blocks. The mouth of the Sphinx opens and four figures pour out. They quickly separate and spread across New York aiding the Sentinels in senseless massacre of Innocent lives.
A fifth figure emerges from the Sphinx's mouth. Standing tall amongst the surprised X-men in the middle of Times Square.
Apocalypse looks triumphant.
He casually glances at Gambit, Polaris, Havok, Banshee, Rogue, Iceman and Nightcrawler, Apocalypse raises his fist high in the air, ready to strike and opens his mouth to speak.
"Goodbye."
PART 8 (Xavier vs Shadow King and Many, many X-men vs Mr Sinister)
Wonder Woman/ Juggernaut - Part 7 "The Villains"
Cain and Diana stand awake looking at the nefarious Doctor von Doom. There is only one emotion flowing through them as they look upon the cloaked figure.
"I'LL KILL YOU!" Screams Wonder Woman as she begins to pull and tear at her confinements.
"You'll find that those bonds are too strong to break even for you, madame as they forged in Olympus itself."
"Yeah well good luck trying to stop me," Cain chimes in as he begins to flex and push against his restraints. For when he is calling upon the mystical might of Cyttorak no force can stop or prevent him from reaching his goal.
Mystic symbols on Cain's containment unit begin to glow and surge with power. They are preventing Cain from breaking free, and he slouches back down as the runes seemingly suck his strength from him.
"Ah yes no one can stop the unstoppable, fortunately these runes sever your connection making you anything but the Juggernaut at this point."
Diana bursts out, "What do you want with our children Doom."
"Me, I want nothing to do with them. They are of no use to anything I am currently working on."
"I find that hard to *deep breathing* believe seeing as they are here," Cain bellows still being drained by the magic runes.
"Yes they are here, and yes my Doombots did help in their capture, but that was none of my doing. You see I am currently leasing various aspects of my resources out, which includes my army and castle. While this is not normally something I would entertain the thought of, I have my reasons."
"So if not you then who?" asks Diana.
"My deary that would be us," speaks one of the shadowy figures. His voice is high pitched and whiny.
"Yes indeed," speaks the other one. This one isn't as whiny but arrogant none the less.
"Wait I know that voice it can't be!" Wonder Woman's eyes have gone big as she sees the shadowy figures move in towards the light.
The first one coming out is none other then the Trickster Supreme, vile Loki.
The second one to come out is the thing of horrors, as the dread Ares, God of War comes into the light.
"It's nice to see I can still provoke a reaction in you Diana." speaks the armored warrior.
"The feeling is not returned Ares," she speaks with a taste of disdain in her mouth. "Why have you taken our children."
"Why isn't it obvious Diana. I am the the destroyer, the harbringer of death. I only go to see you in pain, and bring forth my own glory. You have given me both this day. For what can be more benefiting my own glory then to take the offspring of two of the strongest beings in the world and turn them into engines of mayhem and destruction."
He pauses for a second as he turns to look at two cribs where the twins are laying down. "And what can be more painful to you then to know I will be the one raising your children. That when they destroy all that you stand for, they will do so uttering the name of Ares."
Diana eyes are blazing, as peers through Ares. Her arms shaking but she can not break the bonds around her arms and legs no matter how hard she tries.
"And...What about you Ugly," asks Cain.
Loki moves to the front of Cain's tank to look him in the eyes. "Well my motives are not as straight forward as my fellow god Ares. Personally I have no qualms with you and despite a few run ins with Wonder Woman I find her a nuisance more than an enemy."
He pauses for a second to strike a dramatic pose. "But am I not the God of Mischief. Am I not the God that plants the seeds of chaos. And I ask what can be more chaotic, more mischievous then unleashing two new war gods upon this pathetic planet. May perhaps someday they will even rid me of my troublesome brother Thor."
Loki resumes talking, "Yes, now then I wish to tell you the final part of our plan. We know you have foiled us in the past, and that you will never cease coming after while you live..."
Ares chimes in to finish the rest, "And we want you to live so that you can experience every last anguish of it. So we have found a way to have both. When the morning comes and both the moon and the sun are in the skies Loki shall perform a most powerful spell."
Loki never one to not fully explain his genius interrupts, "Yes a spell formed of blood, and magic. It will strip your children of all their free will. They will forever be servants to Ares. Before you ask the spell is quite irreversible."
"Yes, they will never come back from it. It will be two hours before dawn," Ares says turning to thee children. and motioning them to be moved away.
"Sweet dreams, Mommy and Daddy."
With that everyone leaves the room, letting the darkness of the now unlight room consume Cain and Diana.

Part 8
Xavier vs Shadow King and Many, many X-men vs Mr Sinister
After attacking and taking down Xavier with an energy blast, Mr Sinister leaves the Professor unconscious, strapped into Cerebro. Xavier's astral form flats aimlessly around the astral plane. Suddenly he comes across a gigantic ruined perverse version of the X-mansion adorned with sickening sculptures of his students.
Xavier bars his teeth expecting the worst "Shadow King....."
Sinister plants explosive charges around Cerebro and leaves ready to blow up the entire facility and everyone in the mansion. However he is stopped en route by Angel, Darwin, Psylocke and Forge standing over the unconscious form of Lady Deathstrike.
"You four against me?" Sinister laughs. "I've just killed Charles Xavier at my masters behest. You four don't stand a chance."
Psylocke responds. "Four?"
A shadow blocks Sinister's light from the hole he blew in the side of the mansion. Silhouetted in the sunlight stands Warpath, Pixie, Armour, X-23, Cannonball and Dazzler, ready for combat.
In the Astral plane, Xavier's astral form flies right through the mansion entrance, bursting through the doors he lands in the main hallway. Shadow King materialises in front of Xavier. He increases to twice Xavier's height, his left arm becomes and Axe and his right a large spear.
Shadow King brings the axe down on Xavier who grabs the axe and resists. pushing up against the overbearing axe Xavier generates a sword out of thin air and begins dueling Shadow King. Shadow King's spear shatter Xavier's sword but Xavier swings the shattered blade around decapitating Shadow King. Shadow King's body and head melts into the floor and all is calm. For a second. A large hand protrudes from the ceiling and the long snake like fingers wrap around Xavier. Xavier grasps the fingers and rips them free of the ceiling.
From the floor Shadow King pops up and brandishing claws Like Wolverine he attempts to attack Xavier. Xavier grabs Shadow King by the wrists and sends a shocking charge through the parasites body. Instead of recoiling Shadow King morphs his form into a large blanket and drowns Xavier. Slowly suffocating in Shadow King's purpley black mass Xavier releases an omnidirectional energy blast that completely obliterates Shadow King.
Back in the physical realm, Sinister hits Pixie with a back hand knocking her through a wall. Cannonball flies right through Sinister bursting out the other side, leaving a massive hole in Sinister's torso. Unfazed Sinister fires an energy blast that bowls armour over, nearly crushing Forge. Angel desperately attempts to fly Forge and Darwin away from danger. Dazzler blinds Sinister with a light show and pummels him with blasts. Psylocke walks up to Sinister and plunges her psychic blade into the back of his head. Sinister is unfazed and his telepathic defenses knock Psylocke out.
X-23 and Warpath leap forward. X-23 slashes Sinister throat and is about to stab his now healed torso when Sinister swings her by her hair into Cannonball. Sam is forced to switch off his force field for fear of hurting her. Sinister seizes the opportunity and grabs X-23's wrist, shoving her claws into Cannonball's shoulder.
Warpath slices Sinister's chest that immediately heals. He cuts Sinister again and again to no effect, so he cuts off Sinister's arm. With his remaining arm Sinister punches Warpath head first into the wooden floor. Blasting Armour back, Sinister walks up to Darwin, charging up an energy blast. However his violent attack is prevented by Pixie who leaps forward hitting him with Pixie dust and shouting an incantation. Sinister vanishes in a gust of pink smoke.
"Wh....what happened?" Forge asked.
"I teleported the scary Gothic man a hundred miles below us." Pixie responds, helping Psylocke up.
In Cerebro Xavier awakens. Unsteadily getting to his feet he sends out a telepathic command to the X-men.
"We are under attack. Scott, Emma we need your team back here in New York."
Clenching his fist xavier realises the students need the Headmaster.....

Wonder Woman/ Juggernaut Part 8 "The Escape"
"I have failed again," comes a man's voice from the deep darkness. "I'm sorry."
"Cain now is not the time we have to figure out how to get out of here now," comes a more feminine voice. Wonder Woman has been working on a way out of this situation.
"It's...it's just that this is what I do. I screw up no matter what I'm the one that screws up. When I was a kid I was screw up so much so that my father didn't even want me as his son. As a brother I failed because I was so jealous of Xavier, so afraid that he was better than me. I failed as a human being when I offered my soul for power."
Cain slouches down in his cell, "Now I failed as a father because I couldn't save my children. This was gonna be my second chance you know. These children were clean slates for me. A chance to make a good difference in someone else's life. They were gonna be the best of everything I could be, no better. Now I'm powerless to save them and for that I am sorry."
"Cain...," Diana stops to speak. "You haven't failed us. You did everything you could. It's my fault I should have done more, realized what we were up against and fought accordingly."
"It's not your fau," Cain beings to say but is quickly interrupted by Diana.
"But now is not the time to wallow in self pity.We have to do something."
"What can we do though. I'm powerless cause of these runes and you're in bonds you can not break," Cain replies.
"Cain what is the only thing on your mind right now," Diana's responds.
"Our children," Cain says.
"Well then right now our children are in the hands of two of the most evil people I know. If we don't do something now then we will lose them forever. Then we will have failed them for not trying anything and everything we could do to get out of here."
Cain begins to picture it in his head. His children being the servants of those two monsters. What they would have them do. Diana was right he can not stand here while they are corrupted. An emotion hits Cain like a tidal wave. One emotion Cain is all to familiar with, the emotion of rage. Right now Cain is angry at everything around him. At the world, and he directs it in his mind to the one thing he wants to do more than anything else in this world, saving his kid's souls.
He begins to stand, but as he does the runes glow illuminating the room around them in a dim blue hue. The begin to sap Cain's strength but Cain is not simply a byproduct of the Crimson Cosmos and Cyttorak's power. He is a part of it and no magic, regardless of strength, can break his connection to it.
He raises to his feet runes ever increasing in brightness trying to stay the Juggernaut's power, but his rage has given him focus. With that focus he has become consumed by one goal, and when Cain Marko has his mind absolutely made up to do something no force on this or any planet can stop him from achieving it. A red glow begins to consume the containment field, as Cain's energies swell an explosion of crimson and blue engulf the room as clear glass is shattered.
Cain stands on a wrecked platform as strong looking as ever. The blast knocked one of Wonder Woman's restraints loose. This allows her to finally get at what she had wanted. The knife hidden in her bracer. Sharp enough to carve atoms apart. He takes it and frees herself from her remaining restraints. Then she breaks out of the containment field with a thunderous punch. Cain has already dispatched the guards outside as she begins to make her way outside of the rooms.
Cain begins running off in one direction like a wrecking machine.
"Cain we don't even know where they are in this castle."
Cain doesn't stop though, only taking time to scream, "I can feel where they are at and they are in this direction!"
Diana doesn't hesitate trusting Cain's judgement as she flies up behind him picking him up and flies straight through the castle. She sees out of the corner of her eye a spot of light coming through an old stone window.
Dawn is approaching.

Havok, Rogue, Gambit, Polaris, Iceman, Banshee and Nightcrawler vs The four Horsemen
In Berlin, The Astonishing X-men and Cable pick up Xavier's telepathic distress signal, telling the team about the sentinels massacre in New York and the presence of the giant Sphinx, which can only mean one thing. Apocalypse. Cable plants explosive charges around the Sentinel programming machines and with Magneto safely detained, the team head for New York in Cable's jet.
A giant Sphinx begins to descend in the middle of New York, crushing several office blocks. The mouth of the Sphinx opens and four figures pour out. They quickly separate and spread across New York aiding the Sentinels in senseless massacre of Innocent lives. A fifth figure emerges from the Sphinx's mouth. Standing tall amongst the surprised X-men in the middle of Times Square. Apocalypse looks triumphant. He casually glances at Gambit, Polaris, Havok, Banshee, Rogue, Iceman and Nightcrawler, Apocalypse raises his fist high in the air, ready to strike and opens his mouth to speak.
"Goodbye."
An energy blast like a lightning bolt hits the X-men, teleporting them all over New York. Havok, Rogue, Gambit and Polaris end up in the Financial district. Everywhere, mutants are being slaughtered by Sentinels. From the sky descend War and Pestilence, War claps his hands and the group are sent flying in different directions by a sonic boom.
War goes for a second clap but Havok is too quick, firing a plasma blast that knocks him off his flying contraption. Pestilence causes Rogue to double over in writhing agony as she becomes ill. Polaris comes to Rogues aid by sending a car flying at Pestilence, knocking the horsemen into the side of an office block, glass shattering everywhere.
War punches Havok in the gut and breaks one of his arms. He is about to snap Havok's neck when Gambit leaps forward bringing his staff down on War's face.
Meanwhile Iceman, Banshee and Nightcrawler are teleported to Queens. Household residents run around as Sentinels step on houses, crushing numerous families. Famine begins to drain an innocent man of energy until Iceman hits the Horseman with a massive ice shard. Most surprising of all is Apocalypse's choice of the Horseman, Death. Sabretooth stands on top of a half decimated house, the remains of it's residents drip from his adamantium fingernails. He smiles, licking his claws.
"Boo."
Leaping forward he lands in front of Banshee. Banshee unleashes an almighty scream literally tearing the flesh from bone, but thanks to enhancements, no sooner is the damage done than Sabretooth heals. He grabs Banshee by the throat suffocating him. Nightcrawler teleports behind Sabretooth and slashes at his back with his sword. Sabretooth is unfazed and heals completely. Meanwhile Iceman punches famine to the ground and encases the villain in a block of ice.
Nightcrawler teleports in front of several nearby sentinels attracting their attention using a human civilian.
"Apologies Mein Freund!!" Nightcralwer shouts as he teleports Next to Banshee and Sabretooth. The Sentinels fire at the innocent person but Nightcralwer teleports the person and Banshee to safety. Instead Sabretooth is hit by the numerous energy blasts and lies unconscious in a crater.
The Uncanny X-men begin to compose themselves and eventually regather in times square. They are joined by Xavier and the X-men from the X-mansion.
A screaming woman runs from the Sentinel attacks with her friends after a shopping trip. A sentinel smashes a building nearby and she watches as many people are crushed under debris. She sees Apocalypse stood atop a Sphinx in the centre of times square and is about to flee when she finds herself surrounded by Sentinels. A Sentinel's energy blast turns her friend to dust and a Sentinel closes in on her as she finds herself stood at the bottom of the Sphinx below Apocalypse. The villain gazes down on her and smiles.
"I am your Damnation!!!!" Apocalypse roars with delight.
"Oh, God save me!!!!" The woman cries.
Before the Sentinel can fire a hand reaches down to her. She reaches up to grasp it and she is lifted high into the air. Looking up she sees, silhouetted in the sun, an Angel. More specifically Warren Worthington III.
Angered Apocalypse looks down. He sees Charles Xavier leading every X-man he could gather along with the Uncanny team, ready to fight. Angel lowers the woman to safety.
"Who...who are you?" The woman asks.
"Salvation." Angel answers. "Or to be more specific, we're the good guys."
"You're history!!" Apocalypse roars, firing an energy blast.....
