How would you feel if George W. Bush was assassinated? It’s something I’ve been thinking about…as much as people hate Dubya, how many would be glad to see him dead? I’m sure there are plenty of people in the world who would like to see him dead, but what if he really was killed? How would you react?
Well, I dislike him and many of his policies, but typically I don't go through life wanting people I don't like to die. If he was assassinated I would feel sad, as it would have been unnecessary. In fact I think, in all likelihood, the emotions inspired would be no greater then those that come about when I hear about some other tragedy (sorry to any Bush lovers, his death wouldn't affect me more then, say, news of the Tsunami or terrible earth quake. In fact his death would have far less impact.)
So to clarify. It was sadden me, the loss of a human life needlessly, and it wouldn't make me happy he was gone. I don't want him dead, and killing him wouldn't probably achieve anything.
If Bush were assassinated, that would be the first step to world peace. Who gives a damn if your life was good or not, when there are six billion other people in the world? Bush has the power to change many many things. And oh, maybe we should ask some people from Africa if their lives are better than eight years before, but damn, we wouldn't find any of them alive today.
And how can you say that? Fighting for justice? Innocent people dying? Is that justice? Freedom? Rights? When you can't decide either to have a baby or not? When you can't marry the person you love? And what if the goverment's wrong? They are only people and people can be wrong. You're blindly following whatever they say? Wow, that's amazing, wish I could got my dog trained that well.

As he isn't the President of my county, I honestly wouldn't care. I would worry about who would take over, who was next in line, because that person would probably be someone I detest more than I do Bush! 😛

I think if someone said to me "You can kill either an innocent child or GW Bush, and doing so will save 1000 lives, so who do you choose?"...
I would chooses Bush to sacrifice with little hesitation.
Hmmm.
Well, I would probably lack any true emotional response simply because I am so far removed from President Bush. I mean, I would certainly having feelings of...injustice...or somesuch and probably a vague sense of anger, but I wouldn't shed a tear.
As for the murder of one man to save a thousand other: I've gone over this any number of times--no, I would not murder an innocent man to save another. I would not murder a baby to save another. To do something like that...is to fall into the idea that the ends justify the means, that the greater good outweighs the sacrifice used to attain it.
