Can Wolverine die?

Started by srankmissingnin34 pages

Wolverine has said before drowning won't do the job. His healing factor will keep him in a state of "perpetual drowning" where he is conscious but can't do much of anything else... it would be very unpleasant but it won't actual kill him.

well it sounds like a good way to pacify him at least

fling him into space

Can Wolverine die? I mean he can regenerate and stuff and I was just wondering how the heck you could kill someone who regenerates themself? If anybody knows please tell me?

Yes he can.

ummm... care to elaborate?

Can Wolverine die?

Sure he can die, its pretty simple.

All you have to do is maintain a consistent heat that will simultaneously seer his flesh and burn hot enough to liquify his adamantium skeleton; then his organs will burns up and theres no regenerating from that.

actually the afamantium cant liquify once it has hardend and no he cant die you could shout him in the head but he wont die

Why does drowning not work again?

I'm pretty sure it does. Wolverine origins 21-25 he goes up against deadpool, who plans to kill him that way and says it's the only way to do it. in the same run DP shot wolvie in the head and he got better, but not before Wade got logan right where he wanted him...sort of.

but he wont die he cant move or talk he will just be there neither living nor dead just there

All cells need oxygen to survive. It is the electron carrier for the electron transport chain process.

Another thing is that keeping him underwater for long enough will also cause starvation, which most definately will kill him given enough time.

Throwing him into the sun will work aswell.

Trying to think of more ways...

He been in the sun before..........and he lasted closes to a month with out food or sleep.................

When has Wolverine been in the sun?
Him surviving in the sun is against all logic.

And as for lasting without food for a month, it is very impressive since any normal human could do that.

Again, cells cannot survive in extreme high temperatures, lack of oxygen or food.

Putting him in the sun or even just magma for an extended period (take your pick, 1 min, 1 day, 1 year, 1000 years, I don't care) of time deprives Wolverine of all the essential mentioned above.

During new x-men after his battle with weapon 15. would you like the issue number?

Comic as a whole defy logic.

...........are you trying to tell me that any normal human can go with out food or sleep for a month?

thats good, but you forgett he not a normal human. Every cell in his body has the ability to heal it self of such things. Not to mention the fact for quite a long time he was infact immortal. No matter how damage hewas his soul would come back and his body would reform.

No, further proof is required, I believe you.

And yes comics does defy logic, but usually there is still an element of plausibility.

Lack of sleep has nothing to do with what I said - that cells require food or they die. No normal human could last that long without sleep. Wolverine's healing factor is very capable of dealing with lack of sleep, but he can't defy the rules of set by biology. But then again, like you said, this is a comic, and rules those rules may not apply.

As for a normal human going without food for a month? Yes thats exactly what I am telling you.

Lets not talk about the soul immortality thing, we'll just stick with his body.

Wolverine's cells don't heal themselves. He regenerates cells and tissues through accelerated mitosis, a process which most definately requires oxygen and food. I could go on and use physics to explain why he's accelerated healing factor cannot work without food for a long time aswell.

But this is kind of pointless...since these laws are frequently broken in comics anyway. But its still pretty logical that he would die in the sun, or other situations I mentioned earlier.

God I hope so.

Let me see any move that would kill him instantly should kill him.If he dies how can he heel himself? If a being like Superman punched him directly in the head as hard as he could shouldn't that shattered Wolverine's brain killing him instantly? If you were to rip off his head shouldn't he die instantly?
The reason Wolverine lives through these things is primarly because he is a popular character who marvel doesn't want to kill off.
