Can Wolverine die?

Whatever it was I don't like the way Marvel continues to just write Wolverine as able to survive anything.

That was before Fatal Attractions. His powers weren't fully developed.

Good to know.
I haven't been faithfully keeping up.

Wolverine may be immortal, ppl say he can die if he gets his neck snapped, well just so you know Sabretooth snapped his neck. Its been stated as long as Wolverine has a cell to regrow from then he can do it. On top of that they say some of his cells are fused with the adamantium, so no matter how badly he's burned or whatever happens, then it should grow back. I've seen him shot in the brain, and Creed got stabbed in the brain, both were fine later. Best shot maybe the Muramasa blade which is now coated on Daken's claws on his wrist. Both the Muramasa and Rogue's power seem only temporary, but we'll know for sure if Sabretooth ever comes back.

I still think Squirrel Girl can kill him

Obviously.

In the recent issue of Weapon X, Wolverine expressed fear of drowning. Specially in the ocean. He says, its the one thing that can kill him.

That was a good issue.

He's also stated before that a beheading would kill him, but apparently any thing Wolverine says is bullshit if he has the nerve to imply that something could actually kill him.

Before he got his skeleton, he was beheaded a couple times a week, or every couple weeks. And he healed.

I'm guessing you're referring to the Mark Millar story in WW2?

I take that with mountainous grains of salt considering we don't know the full story behind it all outside of a mention of "beheadings." Not to mention it doesn't jive well with Wolverine stating it would have the opposite affect before.

True, but Wolverine states a lot of things that turn out not to be true.

Him being afraid of the water?? Sabertooth ripped his throat out, then threw him in the river, Logan himself said he should've drowned, but he didn't. He was underwater for 6 hours, with his throat torn out for an undefined amount of time, and he washed up just fine. I guess the reason he's afraid of the ocean is because he can't wash up somewhere.

Human bone doesn't float to begin with. What keeps people buoyant is the meat on the bones and the air in the lungs. Adding 100 pounds to a guy with some level of super strength shouldn't pose too much of a problem for swimming. The question is whether he can float if unconscious. The adamantium + the fact that he has very little body fat means he would likely sink to the bottom if he was koed in the water. His only saving grace may be that the metal is a thin layer spread out on his entire skeleton and the meat around it may be enough to keep him from completely sinking. Much in the same way a boat made of aluminum can float on water because of the way it displaces water as opposed to an equal amount of aluminum being compressed into a ball... which would sink immediately.

No he dident actaully. Prof x said it might worked. Wolverine said it only work with a magical sword that prevents his healing factor.

It has also been stated to have happen and failed, just becuase you wish to ignore this does not take away from it happening before.

I just think about the death of Captain America. Steve Rogers also had an advanced healing ability, but he was taken out with bullets. One to injure him, and the second, fatal, shot to kill him while his healing power worked on the first shot. I think they could do the same to Wolverine.

Yea, two bullets will take down the smelly canadian for sure.

Actually Wolfblood, I'm pretty sure that his bones are fully adamantium, not just spread with it. And it's about an extra 200lbs.

Seriously Darkridir?? You're comparing Captain America's HF, to WOLVERINES???!!!! Wolverine is the guy who walks through bullets like they're flies in the rain forest, annoying, that's it.

Super Soldier Serum, genetic mutation...it's all the same thing in the grand scheme of things....

So in the grand scheme of things Cap can do the same things as any mutant?

well you can't say "any mutant", mutants each have different powers

I thought that the the periostium (outside layer) of his bones was bonded with adamantium and went through a chemical change becoming Adamantium-Beta. Basically the outside layer of his bone is adamantium, it's porous so he still has marrow and produces blood cells, his bones still grow and change with his body, and they're virtually indestructible. So basically, if he got the Hulk mad enough to where he got a compound fracture or he got a little to close to some antarctic vibranium. As long as some portion of that original bone remained intact, the bone would heal with an adamantium coating. Tell me if I'm wrong on that.
