Okay, everybody remember that our battleplace was Mars? Mars is orbited by two moons, Phobos (bigger, 22 km diameter) and Deimos (smaller, 12 diameter). Now, this would have many uses. Magneto has shown to be able to affect objects hundreds of miles in diameter with ease, and fling them through space with immense speed (Like Avalon). Now, lifting and moving either Phobos and Deimos with same speed and having them hit the ground would not be a problem at all. However, how big would the explosion they cause be?
Well, look at Chixculub Crater.

That's right, the meteor in this question would be smaller then either Phobos or Deimos. Now, Deimos would cause roughly similar explosion. It would be 100,000 GIGATONS of explosive force. In laymans terms, that would be one TRILLION, or one THOUSAND BILLION Hiroshima bombs exploding on the same time! And what is the best part...Deimos is the smaller moon.
Phobos would cause an explosion TWICE as big.
Then of course, Magneto could drag some of the bigger asteroids from the asteroid belt...if he felt a strike of grandeour, he could drag Ceres...one of the biggest asteroids with 950 km diameter...
And it's explosion would be NINETY-FIVE times more then one TRILLION, or one THOUSAND BILLION Hiroshima bombs exploding on the same time!
Truly, if humans want to learn something about explosive force, they need to look at Mother Nature. 😄

Magneto wins. Magneto was only buckling under the tornado because he was in one. He absorbed the lightning and withheld the energy. Notice that fight was not storm vs magneto. It was the whole damn xmen vs. magneto. Mags obviously played defensive while storm was free to commit to hitting him with lightning and tornados from afar. Notice mags was on land next to cyclops while storm was in the air. If they fought, do you really think magneto would be dumb enough to stay that far away. Btw. Storm wears a metallic crown around her head. He stretches the crown, brings it down, and stabs it into her own neck. He could fling take his own helmet and fling it at her, twisting its metallic structure until it reached her as a sharp spear. Even if she were to strike the thing with lightning, magneto could strip that of its energy. And he'd be able to fling it like a bullet.
Remember for example the xmen movie. That is a small sampling of the kind of power magneto has but rarely portrays. Magnetos a surgeon and a bruiser. With noone around to distract him, storms a goner.
Besides, Magneto could just blast the living shit out of Storm...a weak, inexperienced Magneto who had had his powers for a short time blasted through mountain with a gesture...current Magneto would be able to do MUCH more.

No she doesn't have to hit him with thunder or lighting but a huge tornado or hurricane or cyclone would work. What actions could he take against that? Imagine powerful winds riping him out of the sky and riping he suit and pounding the crap out of him. Or a huge tidal wave to drown him.
I guess she should have thought of that in Episode 3 (enter Magneto) of the animated series, when Magneto defeated her, Cyclops and Wolverine with minimum effort. 😂
