Beast along with Moira McTaggert discovered the cure for the Legacy Virus, he is very usefull to the X-men. He kicked ass in the movie. Strong Guy is a pretty useless character.

also the guy from district x who would take root every time he fell asleep.

and the insect eating lady from district x.

there were undoubtedly a lot more useless to dangerous to the user powers in the comics.

Sure but fighting isn't his mutant power. The only he got by becoming a mutant is blue skin. How useful is that?

His main mutation is that his hands and feet are bigger.. this gives him superhuman strength, agility, speed, stamina and reflexes... he also has heightened senses and a genius level IQ...

how can that be useless ?
