ROTS Tyranus vs. ROTS Anakin and ROTJ Luke

Is that why Luke defeated Vader in Return of the Jedi? Oh wait Vader wasn't trying to kill Luke right? Well if Luke didn't move out of the way Vader's lightsaber that he threw would have killed Luke.

Face it Luke bested Vader fair and square. Vader was getting pwned. Luke knocked him down the stairs and then sliced off his hand.

But Vader knew Luke would have dodged it. Vader wasn't even fighting Luke at the end. Luke was just hacking and Vader was backing away and ducking.

No. When Luke got pissed off and went on full offense Vader knew he had two choices.

1.) Fight
2.) Die

And Vader was fully determined to turn/kill Luke. You can even tell that Vader was scared/shocked when Luke charged him.

And he chose the second option. Or were you watching the same film as me, where all Vader did was move backwards and duck occasionally. Later in the same film Vader forsaked the dark side and died for his son. Vader couldn't come to destroy him before and couldn't come to do it in RotJ. Luke says this himself.

Right off the bat, one hit sends Luke flying down the Stairs.

When Vader edged Luke into the Carbon freezing. One thrust would have killed the saberless Luke.

When Vader points the saber to Luke's throat and says "You are beaten". One thrust = dead Luke.

When Vader sawed off his hand. One hack after it and GG Luke

When Vader was owning him with the objects.

Luke didnt want to fight his father either. He says this multiple times. However... in their final duel, they were forced to fight eachother, and Luke simply won. Period.

The whole point of the duel was to symbolize the son finnaly surpassing the father.

Because he wasn't putting up a fight at all. Just occasionally blocking, ducking and moving backwards!

He was on the defensive, because Luke forced him on the defensive.

Uh, damn. I hate to knock him for choreography (because to me it doesn't mean much) but Luke dueled significantly worse at that point than before. Before, Vader was keeping up with him fine.

Vader was forced on the defense by Luke. Luke surpassed Vader in terms of lightsaber combat. Luke in ESB gave Vader a run for his money.

That's why he owned him in three seconds when he lost his patience after Luke got a lucky hit?

Luke was significantly horrid in ESB, and only gave Vader a run for his money because Vader was hardly even trying...

Meanwhile, in ROTJ, Vader is conflicted and not wanting to kill his son. Distracted and conflicted, Luke gets his opening and strikes Vader down.

In any case, ROTJ Luke and ROTS Anakin will lose to Tyranus, methinks. That, or Luke will die before Anakin wins.
