I just don't know. It is obvious that the movie would make money. The first movie (FOTR) has already tripled the investment. We just want to throw a log on the fire for them to get it done...

I'd only want it done if Ian Holm's going to star.. and I do NOT - I repeat, DO NOT - want Lucas anywhere NEAR the director's chair. The guy can create, not direct. He can barely deter himself from making his own movies a mockery, man.. 😛 😄

But what the hell, I signed anyway. I don't think Lucas will direct it, plus if they DO decide to put it into production, they probably will cast Ian Holm. Well, hopefully.

I am not sure I would want Lucas to do anything but the effects.

It's my understanding Spielberg turned down the LOTR project becuase he didn't think he could do it.....I 'm sure he wouldn't feel that way about the Hobbit!
