the hobbit should(in my humble opinion) be made into a film because there are so many people out there that are too lazy to pick up a good/bad book and read it.

of course not.But if you like the movie U'll be interested in reading the book 😉

My thinking isthat I don't want people seeing that crappy cartoon and thinking that is all there is to "The Hobbit". If a good movie is made then people may be more inclined to read the book. I can't help but wonder how many people choose not to read the book after seeing that cartoon..... 😄

The cartoon was the first attempt at the LOTR and was quite good but(theres always a but) it stopped short and was never finished. It missed out tom bomidilo as in the film(there is no excuse for that).We want tom.............. 😠

I believe it was the cartoon of the Hobbit that was being referred to, which was dire indeed. The LOTR cartoon film was very good; a shame the main brain behind it died before he did the rest.

But it missed out Tom Bombadil because the makers had brains. NO TOM!
