pre crisis isn't valid, since superman would sneeze out a galaxy one issue, then be slow enough to try and punch luthor, miss, and then punch himself in the face...
post crisis superman is far too fast for grundy in travelling and reflex speed... it is also a well known fact that Superman consistently lowers himself to his opponents level... cheap? maybe, but no less factual.
he has almost limitless strength (we're talking feats that equal and in some instances dwarf pissed off hulk), ridiculously high durability, heat vision that is as hot as the core of the sun, a genuis intellect etc...
if all that isn't enough to beat DBZ characters, then so be it...

Ugh, well, even though I was wrong, this is why I dislike how Goku was overused. He does EVERYTHING, no single character can be unique without Goku doing it & doing it better. But, fact of the matter is, Gohan is physically stronger than Goku.
