BTW Son Goku is based on Superman.
Did you read Journey to the West? Son Goku is a based on both, but he is more of a parody of the Original Monkey-King. Actually the only things he has in common with the Monkey-King are, the cloud, the stick and some random chars who are out of their role in the DB universe.
However, Superman and Goku come from a "destroyed" Planet, both came to earth as orphants, being raised by a human (or humans). Both are the greatest Superheroes in their universes... etc..... Gokus has by far more in common with Superman then he has with the Monkey King. If Akira would have wrote DB without knowing Superman, you wouldn't even know what a SUPERsajajin is.
Akira Toriyama has the same problem like everyone else, their Heroes cam after Superman and they know that they would never exist in the way they do without Superman. He was the first, he is the greatest, they just can't get over it. It doesn't matter how hard they try, how many Gokus, Gladiators, Thors, Silver Surfers or SENTRYS they create, power up, to unimaginable levels, they will still come after Superman and they will always be based on him, on a way or another. The only thing that makes all those chars inferior to Superman is the fact that their creators and fans can't accept the "original".
It's embarrasing how hard everyone tries to show that his/her Superheroe is better then Superman because the only one who is superior to big "S" himself is Batman 😛. "Just Kidding"

Nah, he'd probably win 5/10. Goku's pretty strong but I don't think he's stronger than Superman. Then again, the only person who'd really be able to tell us who's stronger between the two are the creators of Superman.
