Perhaps it would be good for everybody to just take a step back from this for a moment. I understand that all of us are competitive and want to win but we can't take this stuff personal. What I mean is that I don't think anyone here is deliberately trying to break the rules as they see them or that any of the judges are trying to screw over any particular team. We all just have different interpretations of what the rules mean and what we think is a fair/legal tactic is, hence the current situation.
Personally, I wish all these rules could have been dealt with one way or the other before the round started and both sides posted their opening strategies but unfortunately that was not possible. Hopefully everything has been dealt with and we can continue the tourney. And I'm sorry if Blair Wind and Newjack think Leo's and mine objection to the "independent construct" tactic was merely an attempt to undermine a clever idea. We honestly had disagreement about the legality/fairness of the tactic and wanted to get the judges to address it. That's all. 🙁
