I've got the English Version.... here:
There's a whole JLA/WILDCATS fight after that.... but Flash and the Silver Chick don't really do anything else

Considering she has precognition on a quantum scale and teleportation, it's not that hard to imagine her being able to stay a step ahead of Flash. Besides, Surfer's already in the tournament and you don't get much faster than him (save The Runner and The Stranger [somehow]).
Yes, in a straight line Surfer is faster...but those pics clearly show faster-than-Flash reaction speed
(And Flash level reactions are already banned)
I'm personally not convinced of that. There's no way to quantify Flash's speed in that scan, and even Deathstroke has been able to outmaneuver the Flash.
I'm only a judge, and the final decision is up to Digi, Scoob, and Val, but my opinion is that Spartan is a viable participant, and the argument of Void being able to teleport out of the way of Flash is both circumstantial and irrelevant due to:
1)We have no evidence of Flash's speed in that scan.
2)Beings far slower have out maneuvered the Flash (ie Deathstroke)
3) In the scan Flash alludes to a temporal disturbance that may have some influence on this event's outcome.
4)All that is shown is that Void has instantaneous teleportation. She also has quantum awareness, so it stands to reason she'd be able to perceive Flash's future movements.
Also, since time manipulation is banned from this tournament, Khells has to be extra careful of what lines of argument he chooses to tread.
I see no reason at this point to ban Spartan. Particularly with Silver Surfer already in the tournament.
I sense people being disgruntled because they got outmaneuvered by Khells.
outmaneuvered? i don't even know who the dude/dudette is!
the point about speed is sort of irrelevent (he is thinking he's the fastest person in the universe and still can't reach her -- that implies he was giving it a pretty good shot . . .) as is justifying her/him/it based on the fact that deathstroke hit flash. low showings exist for everyone and based on that reasoning, flash should have been acceptable as a street level pick in the last tourny. 😬
if you're convinced this character should be considered legal under the rules, all right. i just don't want to see 'loop-hole' situations arise during battles when it would have been easier to just say thumbdown
I personally think Spartan is acceptable leo.
Any argument made that breaks the rules will not be tolerated, regardless of which character is being used, so Khells can try to stretch the rules and likely will get Spartan banned if he extrapolates too far. The same goes for any character (Shaman, Surfer, etc.).
I have no qualms about doing that. If I see a line of argument breaking the rules I'll motion for a dismissal of the argument or an outright banning. And given that you only have 9 posts each for your side of the debate, you should be careful about getting things 'stricken from the record'.
I'm going to be a fair and impartial judge.
At this point, and knowing the character, I see no problem with Spartan 3, as the Silver Surfer, Green Lantern, and Captain Atom are already allowed and this version of Spartan is pretty much an analog.
Flash even says "If I speed up a little I can actually see her folding in and out of reality". Direct quote. He wasn't going full speed, and all she was doing was rapidly teleporting to dodge. Void isn't the only character in this tournament capable of instantaneous point to point teleportation.
I see no reason to ban at this juncture, but it's not my call.

Flash-type reaction speed = banned. It's been that way for a while. Technically any teleporter can teleport with a thought, but as we've seen countless times, that doesn't mean teleporters can't be hit.
Teleporting is one thing, but continual teleportation to avoid the Flash in a pretty small area shows that she has the reactions to avoid the Flash over and over and over again...... i personally can't think of a single other speedster that could do that
I'm not saying ban her/him/it.... just neuter it's reaction speed (as we've done with Majestic and Surfer (and anyone else who falls into that category)
Couple of questions:
Is precognition banned?
Also, if leo is in the tournament, how is he also a judge? Nothing against leo (he's my e-Fam), but I don't think for the sake of future gripes a tourney participant should be a judge as well. Not that leo can't be impartial, but as soon as he votes against someone it's going to be "You just voted that way so you wouldn't have to face my team". I think we should avoid that.
Originally posted by ScooblessThough we allowed Majestic in and Surfer because they have very limited events that gave them Flash-like Reaction and it was not how they normally operate and none them went directly against the Flash to also prove that someone just below Flash couldn't hit them.

If this is a one time deal then perhaps allow the pick to stand if something like this occurs a number of times then perhaps the pick should be banned. If that can happen to the Flash who is banned and do it regualry enough then I see someone over the limits because no one allowed into the tourny would be able to match up to her. Or even feasibly get a hit if Flash couldn't so it and there are more instances of it being pulled off of being untouchable.

...I'll reiterate what I told Ill in a PM. If it becomes an issue I can sub leo out. But the week 1 matches are far enough removed hat it shouldn't be an issue. With the juggling act of keeping team members out of other team members' matches (Magiks, Corps, etc.) and wanting everyone to be able to rotate so that no one judges twice in a row, it hasn't been easy.
But this is the only time someone from the tourney will be judging at all.
And yeah, precog/cosmic awareness isn't strictly banned, but it is assumed that it won't be useful during battles (Void's precog is more "visions" that she can't control anyway, so it's not like she can flip a switch and see the future).
