AJ's absence is surprising....but he'll be around. And BA isn't a half-bad choice, though he could probably get him in one of the later rounds. We can't be sure about the other team, but I'll PM them.
I said this earlier....day-long drafts never used to happen. The last herald tourney, drafts were the better part of a week, and we'd be on the 3rd draft with people making their 1st pick. So consider yourself lucky...this might not be perfect, but it's a lot more tightly run than in the past.
Honestly though, it's been a gradual improvement. Each tourney is more disciplined and efficient than the one before it....Evangel (to an extent) improved on ScarletSpider's, I improved on that, and Dizzle improved on that, and hopefully we can continue that trend. And it's not that the early ones were bad, but with no example to follow, it was harder to pull off well.
Apparently there was some mythical tourney even before that (before I was a member) but no one has been around long enough to remember what happened. I remember Nataku talking about it, but he couldn't remember who won or what it was about.

Though you're probably being a touch too melodramatic....you're not the first person to have a brilliant team idea (I'm assuming it's some form of power meshing, but I could be wrong).
But I can understand your anticipation. One of the funnest things I've ever done on KMC was my first battle in the only tourney I was ever in (the herald amalgam tourney). Everyone had me dead to rights, and I didn't really have much of a "name" (and wasn't a Mod yet) but my strategy paid off big time (at first....but then I lost later on to some Scottish bastard) and it was hella-fun.

It was all one person (amalgam) and I had Zod's armored suit, which pumps out red-sun radiation, powering Apollo's body to ridiculous levels. Loki's mind ran the show and added magic.
If was a real nifty power-mesh, but Scoob's guy was just too balanced (Wally, Thor, and Quasar)...Wally was the killer....didn't really have an answer for him. But I got to kick some ass before that. And LP was the tourney's other force, but he basically ignored 2/3 of his amalgam and rode Dr. Strange into the finals.

A. SS - various levels (there were teams of about 6 people)
B. Evangel - Herald Amalgam
C. Digi - Street Amalgam
D. Dizzle - Iron Man Level - 3-Man teams
E. Digi and The Corps - This one (Herald teams). Also the first 2-v-2 tourney.
...but I might be wrong about the order of the first two.
