Ooooooh...I said the word "holocaust"...maybe I'm promoting genocide or something...oh, of course I am.And you're worried about a Jew Safari?...there's no Jews in Africa...friggin idiot! Wrong continent genius!
5 years this guys been watchin' and he still thinks it's about blasting minorities
You know what, I think you're racist to Khazakstani's. How dare you make assumptions about them and their culture!
Here's a new song..."Throw Krunk'd Floo down the well!!!...
...so my forum can be freeeee!"
Feeling oppressed yet *****?
(Yep.....This side is so much more fun..............And I've gone totally insane.)
Oh, right...So now you just throw insults at me because I have a different opinion? Well, that figures seeing as people like you and Borat seem to think that millions of dead Jewish people is something to laugh about. I don't. I have morals. Morals. Even if you throw me down the well, I'll drop some logs to raise the water level. See...I'm smart. I even have a friend who is a professor at a university. Another friend of mine is a member of MENSA. Then, there's another guy who debates for the SPDA. We hold discussions on things like this. We realise that Borat isn't big, and isn't clever. One time, one of my other intelligent friends said that Borat is an anti-metamorphic pseduo-anomly imitating a juxtapositional ambivalent equivalence of a participator. I agree with that. You probably don't even understand it. Oh, well. Go back to your movie and laugh at some dead babies.

Borat is Jewish if you didn't know....

Elaboration wouldn't hurt. Was it the humour, the 'offensiveness', or something else? Both?
Sorry I was tired.
It was actually a bit of both. (maybe more the humor)
I did find it very offencive but that seemed to make the other people in the cinema laugh. I found the humor rather childish and obvious.. (I knew what he was going to say.. and the other people I was with didnt seem to catch on to the jokes at all which annoyed me.)
Overall I thought it was offencive to almost everyone.. but worst of all I didnt find any of the 'jokes' funny.. I was just sitting there waiting for it to end.
The thing is, if you think Borat himself was trying to be funny then I'm afraid you've missed the point. He lines are predictable but he only does them to cause a reaction. That's what's funny. Not what he says, just how the people react. The bits where he is not around any American fools is when you see another side to the film's comedy. Where he's not pumping out the same stuff in order to provoke a reaction. He's just simply being funny.
Also, the reasons you didn't find the 'jokes' funny, is because you didn't understand them. I mean, you can't seven spell "offensive".
The fact that it was offensive was funny. Get out of your little PC bag and have some fun.

You found ridiculing ignorant and pretentious people offensive, but you are happy to promote a coke-snorting, drug-dealing murderer? OK, now...
Man, I'm so glad I'm comfortable enough with myself to be able to enjoy humor like this, and not one of those crybabies who gets offended at everything. He mocks stupid people, and in turn only stupid people get offended by this movie/any comedy. The lapse of logic that allows for people to get offended at a film that is so obviously silly and blatantly satirical of so many people's REAL prejudices is astounding. Bringing them out of the real people and making them look inherently stupid is the brilliance of Cohen/Borat. Don't blame Borat for mocking the idiocy of the people who actually believe the type of things his character says in this movie, which is all he's doing.

Sorry I wasn't clear.. I found it offensive (I don't think anyone could say it wasn't offensive at some point).. even so I wasn't offended by it personally.. (does that make sense?)
It wasn't that, that made me dislike the movie though and I can see why people find it funny.. It just isn't my type of humor.. I mean the bit with the bear scaring the kids away (all though it was obvious.. again going back to what I said before) I think that was the only part that made me chuckle.
