No, I don't think it makes you homophobic. I mean there are plenty of people who think that any over the top, blatant signs of affection, from a heterosexual or homosexual couple aren't right. The kind of "a time and a place for that kind of thing." Even I can be a bit like that. I mean some teenage couple groping and grasping on a bus just seems a bit over the top... a time and a place as it were.

But it is probably social I would say, our comfort zones when it comes to signs of affection and the degree to which they are allowed in public.

Being tolerant and respectful of another group's acceptance, value, and rights is completely different from wanting to watch a certain practice of that group. Those who overstep that boundary with categorizations are the ones I feel are in the wrong.
