*shrug* in this case it would be the same gender being attracted to the same gender

but "homophobia" really doens't specify that 😬

I don't consider myself homophobic, but, if indeed, I should be I certainly acknowledge my wrongdoings.

Yes, I am perfectly aware of the definition of the word homophobia, I just do not agree that I fit said definition.

No reason to give definitions. Everyone here knows what we're talking about. So why is society so unacceptable towards homosexuals? And why is it so hard for people like me to be able to live in peace? Everywhere I go I have to fight for what I believe in. Even on internet message boards. I've already been told to "die" twice today because of what I believe in. And I've been ridiculed just for opening up a thread about how I was proud of what I am. If I were to open up a thread about gay issues, it would automatically be closed by a mod in this forum. It's not fair and it's not right.

lets see you make fun of my spelling. I don't see you doing that to the heterosexual members. If I changed my name to "proud heterosexual" you probably wouldn't find as much fault in me.

Some of your questions need to be answered by yourself.

Why is it so hard for people like me to live in peace? Only you really have an answer for that.

Fighting for a belief is different then parading them around and name calling if people disagree with you.

Fair and right are words used by those who "feel" a certain way. Not everything is fair and right get over it.

If you have followed this thread you would have noticed that, indeed, there was confusion as to the definition and etymology of the word "homophobia".

Now, I believe most of the lack of acceptance comes from Religious Institutions and their followers who few homosexuality as unnatural.

You were not told to "die" because you claim to be homosexual. that is a false conclusion you have drawn, professor.

The question is valid though, if you can be proud of your sexuality, and you certainly can, then so can heterosexuals, don't you think?

You did open this thread about gay issues. It is still open, is it not? We also have various topics concerning homosexuality, do a search on it if you want to participate in some of them.

I think the only problem people are having is how you are flaunting your gay-ness. People just don't go around opening threads saying "I Like Guys because I'm a Girl" or vise versa, so it seems a little weird and off key for someone to go around opening threads like "I like guys because I'm a guy!"
A thread about homophobia is appropriate, but I really don't think, from the very little I've read, that people are trying to bad mouth you because you are gay.

If I recall right, and I do, you ridiculed my slight grammatical mistakes (if they even were that) first. Are you trying to make fun of double standards, prof? If so, you do a fine job.

"Has"..."has" would be the correct word.

Hehe, sorry, old patterns.

See! look! he corrected a heterosexual. Happy now? 🙄
