Why do you need Jesus Christ to be saved and go to Heaven?

For by one man’s disobedience many were MADE SINNERS. Because of Adam’s disobedience (he disobeyed God concerning eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) every human being is made (or born) a sinner. Romans 5:19; Genesis 2:16-17, 3:6; Romans 5:12, 14-15, 19

Through Adam, sin (the law of sin and death) entered the world, and into human nature. Adam passed his sinful nature on to his children, who passed it on to their children, who in turn passed it on to their children, all the way down to people today. The Bible states that the wages (or consequence) of sin is death. The wages of sin is death because sin separates us from the glorious life and presence of God. As a result, all people are born sinful and spiritually dead (or separated from the life and presence of God). We inherited Adam’s consequence for sin which is death (spiritual and physical death). Romans 8:2, 5:12, 19; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22; Ephesians 2:1, 5, 4:18; Romans 6:23; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; 1 Peter 3:18; Ephesians 2:1, 5, 4:18;

All are sinners by nature (because we inherited Adam’s sinful nature) and by choice (all of us have chosen to sin at some point in our life) and as a result we fall short of the glory (the glorious life and presence) of God. Sin separates us from the glorious life and presence of God. Because of our sins no person is considered RIGHTEOUS according to God. God is holy and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Romans 5:12, 19; 1 John 1:8; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; 1 Peter 3:18; Ephesians 2:1, 5, 4:18; Romans 3:10, 12; Psalm 99:9; Habakkuk 1:13;

If a person (physically) dies in their sins, without first having their sins forgiven, remitted, or washed by the blood of Jesus, they will be separated from the glorious life and presence of God temporarily in a place called Hades (Hell). Then when they are judged by God according to their (sinful) works they will be cast into THE LAKE OF FIRE permanently. John 8:21, 24; Matthew 10:28, 23:33, 25:31-33, 41, 46; Mark 9:43-48; Luke 12:5; Revelation 20:11-15

Jesus came to Earth to shed His blood (or die) so that our sins could be remitted, washed away, or forgiven. God accepted the holy, righteous, sinless blood of Jesus as payment for the wages of sin, which is death. Jesus’ death paid the wages of OUR SINS. Now all who call upon Jesus to save them from their sins can be forgiven for all their sins. We can have our sins remitted, washed away, and forgiven by God. The word remission or remit means to release from the guilt or penalty of. Jesus death PAID THE RANSOM FOR US FROM THE WAGES OF SIN. A ransom is something paid or demanded for the release of someone or something from captivity. Jesus redeemed us by His shed blood (or death). The word redeem means to buy back, repurchase, to get or win back, to free from captivity by payment of a ransom, to release from blame or debt, clear, to free from the consequences of sin, to atone for, or expiate. Jesus is the propitiation for our sins. The word propitiate means to gain or regain the favor or goodwill of, to appease. Through Jesus we are able to get back into the good graces of God. We are saved from God’s wrath through Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53:1-12; Romans 5:10; Hebrews 9:26, 28; 10:4-7, 10, 12, 14; Matthew 26:28; 1 John 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14 Hebrews 9:12, 14, 10:19-20; Romans 10:13; Matthew 20:28; 1 Timothy 2:6; Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2, 4:10; Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18, 5:9; Revelation 6:14-17, 10:6, 11:18, 8:1, 15:1, 6-7, 16:1;

Jesus Christ was the only Person qualified to die for the sins of the world because He was not a sinner and He did not sin. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. John 8:46; 14:30; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5; Matthew 1:21; Luke 2:11, 4:18; John 4:42; Acts 4:12, 5:31, 13:23; Ephesians 5:23; Philippians 3:20; 2 Timothy 1:10; Titus 2:4, 13, 3:6; 2 Peter 1:1, 11; 1 John 4:14

God could not just forgive sin without the shedding of blood (or without someone dying to pay for sin). Hebrews 9:22

You see every single person had to pay for their own sin. The wages of sin is death (spiritual and physical death). We do not have the power or ability to escape death.

There is no way that salvation can ever be based on our good deeds, baptism, going to church, reading the Bible, keeping the Ten Commandments, living by the golden rule, being nice to people or any other good works. The Bible clearly states that without the SHEDDING OF BLOOD (OR DEATH) THERE IS NO REMISSION. The word remission or remit means to release from the guilt or penalty of. ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST DEATH ON OUR BEHALF AS PAYMENT FOR OUR SINS are we granted forgiveness or pardon from God, of our sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty. Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 3:9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 5:16-18; Romans 6:23; John 10:9, 14:6; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Romans 3:23-24; Hebrews 9:22; Isaiah 53:1-12; Romans 5:10; Hebrews 9:26, 28; 10:4-7, 10, 12, 14; Matthew 26:28; 1 John 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14 Hebrews 9:12, 14, 10:19-20; Matthew 20:28; 1 Timothy 2:6; Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2, 4:10; Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18, 5:9; Revelation 6:14-17, 10:6, 11:18, 8:1, 15:1, 6-7, 16:1;

Although we who have asked Jesus Christ to save us from our sins are saved, born again, righteous, redeemed, and so forth, our physical body IS NOT REDEEMED FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. That’s why we still die physically, and that’s why we still sin even though we are saved.

John 14:1-3, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God [the Father], believe also in Me [Jesus Christ]. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, ‘I [ Jesus Christ] am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father [God] except through Me [Jesus Christ].’”

Matthew 16:26, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will man give in exchange for his soul?

Romans 10:13, “‘For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord [Jesus Christ] shall be saved.’”

Do You Understand the Good News of the Bible?

Jesus Christ died:

to pay the penalty for your sins (the penalty for sin is death), to make you righteous or good enough to go to Heaven (Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus Christ rose from the dead:

to give you everlasting life. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He gives everlasting life to all that ask Him for it in faith (faith is trust).

If you want to be 100% sure that you will go to Heaven when you die, say this prayer from your heart:

Lord Jesus, I believe that God raised You from the dead. Save me from my sins. Make me a part of God’s family. Come into my heart and give me everlasting life. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving me.

Rejoice and be happy, You are going to Heaven!

If you die right now, you will live with Jesus Christ in paradise forever. This is His promise to you

Now ask God to help you find a good church where you can be baptized and learn the Bible .

you need to have this in the religion forum, not the general discussion forum. you need to read the rules above.

If Heaven doesn't have beer I'm getting the f&ck out of there. Send me to Hell. Them b*tches should have beer. 🍺

I think I shall post this in every only-Jesus-saves thread until it is addressed.

For those who interpret Scripture literally, kindly interpret John 4:22, where Jesus says...
"You worship what you know not, we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews."

Again, so as not to betray your own position, be consistent: interpret literally. To save you some time and effort, permit me to post the most common response I've heard in the past. It generally takes the form of...
"Jesus was referring to himself, since he was 'from the Jews'."
If that's the case, then keeping with a literal interpretation, why didn't he just say 'from the Jew' (singular), or even more direct, 'from me'?

Ah, but he did (John 14:6)...
"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by me."
...a literal interpretation meaning, Only Jesus Saves.

Then what would a literal interpretation of John 4:22 mean: 'from the Jews' (plural)?
Again, be fair by being consistent, or you betray your own position.

Thank you for your attention.

back again i see

Excellent point Mindship, hats off to you... Though I fear you will not get a response, most religious people that insist on forcing religion down your throat conveniently interpret the Bible 'literally' only when it suits them.

what would jesus do?
i'd bet he would post in the correct forum ✅

I have Jesus in my life...and IN MY BED!droolio

I think this is the mother load of delusions. 😆 It's sad how people can be so obsessed about this junk. Sooty laughs at these people.

Nice, just insult everyone by:
1. Saying they have descended from a made up character.
2. Accusing them of "sinners" based on a story book.
3. Implying it as fact, therefore crapping over the scientific theory of evolution.

**claps sarcastically**

Is this true or do you believe it to be true? Obviously the latter is true, so I challenge you to give me scientific evidence.

wait I'm confused. Didn't the bible say "God created Earth." "God created Adam." "God sent us to Earth." and "When we die we GO TO HEAVEN"? Well, I guess that craps all over everything you've just said, from THE SAME SOURCE! 😱

You're pretty much saying "Sin separates us from God." But God created Adam on Earth which is already away from God or something. So sin can't separate us from God since we already were away from God. So there. 😐

if you believe then great! good for you! but this is really not a good place to try and find other knowledgable christians to talk about subjects like this without someone who misinterprets everything about religion to ther liking so they dont feel the need to believe in anything and bashing you for doing so. it just turns into a mamoth flaming shit-fest with no end to it. you will end up debating till the end of time.

God could not just forgive sin without the shedding of blood (or without someone dying to pay for sin). Hebrews 9:22

You see every single person had to pay for their own sin. The wages of sin is death (spiritual and physical death). We do not have the power or ability to escape death.

There is no way that salvation can ever be based on our good deeds, baptism, going to church, reading the Bible, keeping the Ten Commandments, living by the golden rule, being nice to people or any other good works. The Bible clearly states that without the SHEDDING OF BLOOD (OR DEATH) THERE IS NO REMISSION. The word remission or remit means to release from the guilt or penalty of. ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST DEATH ON OUR BEHALF AS PAYMENT FOR OUR SINS are we granted forgiveness or pardon from God, of our sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty. Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 3:9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 5:16-18; Romans 6:23; John 10:9, 14:6; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Romans 3:23-24; Hebrews 9:22; Isaiah 53:1-12; Romans 5:10; Hebrews 9:26, 28; 10:4-7, 10, 12, 14; Matthew 26:28; 1 John 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14 Hebrews 9:12, 14, 10:19-20; Matthew 20:28; 1 Timothy 2:6; Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2, 4:10; Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18, 5:9; Revelation 6:14-17, 10:6, 11:18, 8:1, 15:1, 6-7, 16:1;

Now ask God to help you find a good church where you can be baptized and learn the Bible .

why'd you post a dumb worthless thread like this when your sn is JesusIsAlive? sounds really dorky to me

Excellent point Mindship, hats off to you... Though I fear you will not get a response, most religious people that insist on forcing religion down your throat conveniently interpret the Bible 'literally' only when it suits them.

Thanks, and so far, you're right, though the absence of a verbal response is telling, in and of itself.
