God loves all of you even if no one else does

I remember when I was reading a bit of Luke once in the bible, I just found him to be a jackass, streight up. He constantly told people how great he was, showed off, judged people every chance he got, and threatend people with "eternal suffering" to follow him and listen to him.

Jesus is not love, Jesus is a conceited dick.

I believe what ever god is is not judgemental..........it's part of the creative process and has an intellect........maybe we chose what we are to experience..........we are part of that process, and no matter what we choice, it would not condemn us, but give us what we asked for..

I am not called to prove the Bible. None of the people in times past that God called to proclaim the gospel had to try and prove the good news. So, I take my cue from them. 🙂

Actually I would say you are wrong there. They were, in fact, called upon to do just that, they simply chose not to/were unable to. That is different from no one questioning them.

Why does God reiterate the fact that there is no other (true, actual, living) God besides Himself? Because THERE ISN'T. I know this is hard for ya'll to accept. The scribe believes that there is one God too. Well, I guess you can see why I believe the way that I do. I simply believe what the Bible has to say about God.

He personally came down and told you? Or you read it in the Bible and believed it?

Personally for me if I were o believe in one God, I don't think I could say so definitively that there were no others in a "but definitely no others. Just that one. He said so." Especially when so many of there religions make such similar claims, just with different gloss.

Which is why I would be shallow. If I accept a number of religions are peddling the same service and promise, I would look at the way they present it - the only thing setting them apart being their story and mythos, frankly I find the old religions much more exciting. That, and Ganesh appeals to me more in a conceptual fashion. And Buddha in a philosophical one.

(note: I am slightly joking, if I were to believe it would be with reason, not just the shiniest one. Though I stand by the "pagan" religions still being a more interesting study story teller wise.)

Nothing against Christianity. Most faiths have bits they absorbed/assimilated from other religions. But don't delude yourself into thinking Christianity is somehow special. That it sprang fully formed into the world like Athena from the brow of Zeus. It is just as guilty of bastardising and taking bits of pre-Christian religion as its own as most any other religion.
