Now posters please, lets remain civil when we discuss JIA...yes he is wrong, yes his use of the Bible is questionable, yes he can be irritating, but he is also a poster and protected by the same rules we are.

This reaffirms what I said earlier, Jesus did not go to Hell, and Hades is NOT Hell.


But that Jesus did go to Hades, which is often errantly translated as hell in English. I'd cut JIA some slack considering that like most people he is used to the English. But, yes, you are quite right, and an important part of the Christian religion.

There is no hidden truth in the bible that a holy spirit will revel to you. I used to be a Christian, and I have seen how people use that believe to hurt each other.

Why would anyone need the Holy Spirit to understand the Bible ? Most people can read English and/or Spanish pretty well....

The bible can be interpreted in so many ways that the only way you can claim to be more right then anyone else is to claim that your idea was given to you by the holy spirit.

I don't think it's even possible to be 100% loyal to the Bible, because of all the contradictions it contains. I think everyone is pretty much forced to either choose a series of the Bible they prefer while ignoring the other, or ignoring the Bible all together....

My Mom is Christian and beleives in God, but I don't think she ever even touched the Bible

Yes he does...because Gay is not what a person really is....being Gay is a choice influenced by the demon known as Satan....

All Gay people are really straight people who decide to change thier sexuality because they want to suffer and they want people to hate them. Also because Satan told them too.

God knows you aren't born or developed Gay...God knows you have full control over your erections and sexual desires.....so God does love Gay people, because he knows they can go back to being Straight at any given moment.

Because not everything in the Bible is plain to view. The Bible says that seeking the mysteries is the glory of kings.

If there is mystery to solve or information to unravel/decode/translate, etc. then it is not direct. It is indirect.
