Sentry Respect Thread

Just as a late side note to the "Did Sentry use his calming aura" line of discussion;

If both Emma Frost and Charles Xavier failed to get into WWH's head, why would you think a simple calming aura would affect him?

The new Age of sentry issue is out now. Can someone post those scans?

Thats true. Unless its and Aura from Runner it wouldn't do much from Sentry especially since his Aura didn't have much effect on a Hulk who had been angry for a few minutes. One that had been angry for a few months mostlikely wouldn't notice it.

Thor fan im pretty much a sceptic. Bob's a "Silver- Age Superman" With lots of difference in character and weakness (his mind). He more of a super powered hitman now. Lacking in story and not properly used by writers. He is has a good fighting record too:

1. Tamed Terrax
2. Dominated Genis till was needed to be BRF
3. Defeated Classic Thing easily
4. Stalemated World War Hulk till both drained out (bruce koed bob later)
5. Defeated Dr. Doom easily
6. Defeated Wolverine easily
7. Overloaded Absorbing man easily.
8. Owned Iron man till tony had to overload cloc systems\

Next we have to see how Sentry goes against Savage Hulk....

Or against Gray, who he was facing. I'm thinking the color of the Hulk in the cover was done without considering what was happen inside the actual comic.

Here are a couple good speed feats from Hulk #8.

Sentry blitzes Hulk. It was a non-fight though but still shows his speed.

In the same issue, Sentry shows very good speed and control while saving civilians.

Weak, weak Superman imitation...Marvel doesn't need a Superman. The whole reason I found Marvel appealing is that they DON'T have Superman.

You have to keep in mind that the Sentry's power levels fluctuate based on how "he's feeling". That's how he can do from blowing away Terrax in a few seconds to struggling to lift a Helicarrier.

It's a more interesting way of writing off a Silver Age Superman character, but sometimes I honestly think they should have just fleshed out an existing superman pastiche (or a minor character character) more then giving us a wishy washy Deus ex Machina.

And though I'm kind of bashing the character just a little, this is only spawn from me looking at the feats he has and comparing them. He can easily own Terrax and tear through the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak (though it can be argued they had been directed at him, so that's why he got through them to Doom) while calm but when he's supposedly letting loose (like when fighting Green Scar or when his wife had been killed by Gender Bender Ultron) his general showings are lower?

And no I'm not counting his light show against Green Scar. A calm Superman pastiche could have done more damage then that quite easily with out pouring energy all over the place.

Sentry hasn't had many good showings that I've seen since WWH. It seems like Marvel may be building Hulk up since his first fight with Rulk. PM me if you didn't read the issue and want scans of the Hulk/Sentry "fight".

i don't think wwh is too high above savage hulk. savage could probably even be more powerful if he gets that mad.

Sentry deserves no respect whatsoever

Dont spam his respect thread his character has potential.

lol,jk. actually i'm kinda comin around to sentry a bit.glad he gave jim hammond the opportunity to showcase his skills. that, and he has some awesome feats.
