Sentry Respect Thread

I really dont know why marvel decided to hype sentry up as some uber powerful character and nowadays write him to being barely herald level. Hopefully though we will soon get some explanation as to why a character who could beat terrax in 13 seconds can somehow lose to human torch.

Two reasons come to mind:

1) It's not uncommon for new characters to be hyped when they debut in order to generate interest.
2) They built him up for the express purpose of using him as fodder to showcase other characters. (Also a common practice)

It's ridiculous the way they (marvel and it's writters) are downplaying the Sentry. What he needs is a reboot and written the way he deserves to be and to his potential. His being frightened by the mere image of the Void is very idiotic considering that he has fought and throw him into the sun in the past. The Human Torch overloading him is so stupid, if a guy can fight beings like Genis Vel, Hulk and the Collective and is feared by his own allies then the Torch shouldn't be anything to him. He's been written as the ultyimate jobber and it's sad considering the immense potential for depth and developement he has. What they need to is et me write the Sentry, I'd show Marvel how to properly do it!

Lets face it: Sentry is the new Wonderman. Were it not for the Age of Sentry the character would be already forgotten.

I think it's worse. the reason why is because spider man used trickery to beat fire lord while HT overpowered sentry.

It didn't even make sense.

Marvel needs to sell me the rights to Sentry for like 500.00 bucks and I'll write him the way he should be and actually make use of all that depth that hasn't even been unsurfaced yet.
