Its just a bad idea in general because who's to say The Dark Knight won't follow the Superman movies cliche and have Batman rescuing Rachel Dawes all the time.
It will happen... I can just see it.
I want to see more of Gordon's temper though, in Begins he was a bit too passive for my liking.

A "troubled past"? She went out one night and partied with a cast-mate, sure she made a bad choice by drinking and driving but she wasn't the only one in the car! She's a talented actress and I for one think she can play anything presented to her!

If this is true, then why would you recast the role of Rachel Dawes. Why not just have Katie Homes-Cruise in the sequel and then have her killed. I think with Maggie Gyllenhaal the role is expanded into the next one.
I don't think Rodriguez is the type of look that they're going for, Spanish-wise. Didn't they state that they wanted someone that looked like uh...shit, I can't remember her name now...
I have know idea who should play Montoya. I know its not goinng to be Michelle Rodriques.

Well if I had it my way, they would have kept Holmes and killed Dawes off.
I just don't think that they should keep Rachel in the movies. Batman's stories aren't "help the damsel in distress", and Rachel wasn't even in the comics, so they shouldn't make a trilogy out of saving her ass, you know? She worked well in Batman Begins because she wasn't the focus point of the movie like how in these Spider-Man films they almost revolve around Mary Jane more so than Peter lol.
See I think she was too much of a focal point in Begins, and it annoyed the hell outta me! I'd be tickled pink to see her die in the next film, especially if she were played by Holmes again, she also annoyed the hell outta me... LOL!

I am not comparing the Spidey film with Batman Begins. In those films having MJ getting saved constantly by Spidey works because she is apart of his life. In the Batman mythos their really isn't a damsel in distress. Which is why to me, it doesn't make any sense to bring back a character that no one particular likes and she stays on to at least more film. Of course I believe that there will be at least six Batman films.
