Is anyone here actually naive or gullible enough to think that any of Israel's actions right now are helping to free the two soldiers it claims this is all about?

Admitedly, Israel is "blind bluffing" with this hand, trying to go for more than they have cause for, but there's not much we can do.

Israels reaction is way overblown, (and for X marks, of course this isn't doing anything for the kidnapped soldiers, who are most likely dead anyway) but they are just taking advantage of the situation with which they were presented.

Where did you get the idea that I thought this was about the soldiers. Unless I misread my own post, I think all I said was that negotiating would be stupid. I'm of the same frame of mind as keanu reeves in speed. Take the hostage out of the equation, then take down the bad guy.
