please explain this idea more fully Digi. it sounds like this could hold some promise i just don't really understand what you mean.

What if we did a "live" draft, but made a thread for it and made the draft an ongoing thing?? So, it might take a day to finish a couple rounds depending on who is on at what times, but it would avoid controversy over picking a draft time.

Just make threads here on the forum where we conduct our draft over a period of time (with a set order). Then the league manager (forumcrew) enters the picks in once we're finished. It might take us as much as a couple weeks, but at this point we still have the time.

I think with the small amount of us, we could get a draft going, if not, then we could go by the route.

But I think we'll get some confusion on who's picked, and who's not picked.

I say next week sometime. 9 o clock PM eastern time. on tuesday... how bout that ?

I still say sometime on a Sunday. Seriously, very few have work, and who can't make a little time on a Sunday? With my luck, probably everyone won't be able to, but that's my suggestion.

i am free on sunday. i am also free any time next week in the later evening say after seven.

yea what digi said is what i meant by "offline draft" the only issue there is you guys trusting me to randomly generate a drat order. Sunday evening (eastern time) seems to be the best time so far as far as getting a live draft going. With sheets we have 7 asumming dan zeke joins like hes supposed to so wed need 1 more for an even 8 then we could get under way.

well hes not exactly showing the most interest so the huunt for golden ticket #8 must go on.

Hrm. This is next Sunday, right? Or are we talking tomorrow? I just thought that with the new addition, 1 day might be a bit unfair to him for planning and creating draft boards and such.

That, and if we don't have an 8th by tomorrow, that's a problem too. One more week before drafting shouldn't be a problem unless anyone objects.

Guys, I need your help...

..in a 15 team league, drafting only offensive players. Now that Portis will likely miss week 1, where would draft him? And how many RBs would you take ahead of Manning? Again, I repeat this is a 15 TEAM league.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

I would still take Portis fairly high and i dont know that its certain he will miss week 1 WIth their division they cant afford to give a single game away. It is minnesota in week 1 who Id like to think the Skins could handle without Portis, but hes just such a vital part of that offense. 15 team draft yikes. Draft order really determines strategy here. Ive basicly decided not to draft manning. THeres a lot of QB's I like that I can get in round 3-5 in a typical league, and some guys who have some question marks who i can get even later. Also the RB's this year are iffy so I just cant use a top pick on a QB.

What are the starting positions for this league?
