why would you give up lj for that deal?

because I think LJ is highly over rated. and im getting 2 premiere RB's to start.. 2 starters is better than 1

everyone talks so much about Shaun losing hutch.. people dont seem to care LJ lost roaf, richardson, saunders, and vermil

your team and treu enough

I agree with his decision. I had made an offer for LJ too, but the one he accepted was the better deal for his team. I was offering Westbrook and Fitzgerald, but forum doesn't really need WRs.

Droughns is a huge question mark, and he has two solid RBs now...I'd breathe easier if I were him.

True.

But LJ could turn out to a beast this year, TDs and yards. But I liked Jordon though, so it was good.

Yeah, a relatively fair trade, given player projections. Someone will end up "winning" the trade from what happens this season, but it was a decent move by both sides.

Now...I have no idea why I'm not satisfied to sit on my already-strong team, but I'm back to working trades now that the LJ deal fell through.

Skeets is the one who got Johnson, right? The Backyard Goons?

just curious... 😖hifty:

Yeah it is, but the trade hasnt been done yet.

But I dont understand what Skeets is doing... he doesnt need any RB's, and if I were him, I would gotten LJ plus an WR or QB or TE instead of Benson.

Yeah, but picking up LJ can never be a bad thing, considering he has about 7 choices to plug into the backup slot. I honestly think both teams improved their situations, though I agree Skeet should have tried to get RB/WR or something similar.

If you have a chance of getting LJ thats great.

But Benson?

Ah whatever, it aint my team. I think he might have problems with TO though.

What's up with having to upgrade to ESPN Edge to be able to smack talk and many other features which are free in Yahoo? Is there a way around this without having to pay $17 / year?

i dunno, im not really a fan on espn but i had 4 teams on yahoo and thats their max so i figured id give espn a try. they are definitely stingy though. Yahoo only makes you pay for live stat tracking and thats like 10 bucks for the season.

My running backs in my keeper pool last year, were Gado, Curtis Martin and Priest Holmes. This was after some trades when others went down.

This year, I cleaned house...and NOW I am fukked.

Addai and Rhodes from Indy, Dayne and Gado (a holdover)

do I have ANY hope?

It's ridiculous. I to am in the ESPN pools, and don't really care for them. NFL.COM is pretty good though.

Maybe with Addai for the long-term.

Otherwise, yeah you're pretty screwed. And you won't win much in any league without steady RBs.

...

And I've used ESPN, Yahoo, and FoxSports for fantasy teams. Can't say I'm a huge fan of ESPN, but the other two are actually really good. Nobody uses Fox, but it might actually be my favorite.

no thats pretty horrible i mean you only even have 1 guy whos gonna play in rhodes/addai I hope you have absolute stud WR's and QB or ur dead in the water.

Keeper leagues are messy sometimes, and it's easier to end up totally screwed like that than it is in a regular one-season league.

But yeah, just chalk this season up to experience, because with those RBs you're in a lot of trouble.

id suggest totaly sacrificing your team this year to try to build a team that could be better next year.. just whord all the young guns with big potential for now.

You guys are great, thanks. cry
😆
Yeah, I know it. Somehow, last season, I somehow managed to finish 3rd, with a variety of Bettis, Moats, Wells, Holmes, Martin and Barlow, all at different times. We have IR rules that allow is to pick up players etc, so, yeah, I am screwed.
My WRs are:
Hines Ward
Drew Bennett
Crumpler
Shockey
Terry Glenn

But the QBs and DL saved me:
New England's QBs
Seattle's QBs

Strahan, Taylor, Schobel etc....

Well, I'm trying to...this is my 3rd year with this team...and before, I had Bettis, Holmes and Westbrook and Barlow as my RBs, which was great. Back then I had no WRs, so I traded Westbrook for Hines Ward. Bettis retired, Holmes is nearly dead and Barlow blew dead cats. So, I had to ad lib, and it messed me right up.

Question:

Would you guys trade Seattle's QB's and Ron Dayne for Clinton Portis and Minnesota's QBs?
