Indeed. And everyone I've mentioned except Engram because Darrel Jackson is gimpy is (albeit a weak) #1 or #2 on their team. But Kevin Curtis I hear will still get his looks, and if Bruce or Holt goes down? I think he easily outperforms any of the choices above.
Fun story:
So my fraternity started a fantasy league, but we're all so busy we couldn't find a draft time.
So we did an auto-pick. I was one of the only ones smart enough to set my pre-draft rankings. Yahoo's lists are slow to update, so while others were getting Tatum Bell, Domanick Davis, etc. I was picking up studs. Example: I have Tiki and Rudi. That should never happen. 🙂
We're doing HUGE teams...defensive starters and everything (I think we start 13). And Yahoo's defensive rankings are seriously messed up. No one well-known got drafted, and I was too lazy to make pre-rankings for defense.
But I'm probably the only one working the waivers for defensive players, so pretty soon I'll have Ty Law, Chris McAlister, Michael Strahan, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, etc. all on my team.
Not for money (unfortunately) but I basically have a lock on the bragging rights.

Hasselebck will be in seattle for many years so i wouldnt want to give him up but theres some guys you could get cheaper, and dayne is worthless and portis is and will be a beast so id say do it.A guy you may be able to grab right now is Lundy on the Texans.
I dunno. The commisioner, one of our IT guys set it up that way. IT works out well if some freak injury happens part way through the first series and say, Brady or Hasselbeck go down.
Anyhow, here's my trades that went down.
I traded Terry Glenn for Jamal Lewis and I traded Ron Dayne and the New England QBs for Portis amd the Minnesota QBs.
Yes, I know Portis is hurt, but, hopefully it wont be for long.
So, my opening game RBs are Lewis and Portis, unless Portis is out, in which case, Addai goes in.

That's pretty cool. Though I wonder if you're basically playing in a league where you're the only one trying?
No, not entirely. I've talked to a few of them. They're interested in it and excited about it. But it's clear I'm the most veteran fantasy owner, and I have one of the better teams to begin with.
There's only 8 teams, so I'd be lying if I said I'm the only strong team. And they're already working the trades some, though I'm seriously doubting that they'll filter through defensive waivers in time enough to keep me from getting some monster players.
Basically it's just for bragging rights anyway, though we take our bragging seriously....so it'll be almost as fun to rub it in their faces on a weekly basis as it would be to win actual money.
P.S. Apparently I spoke a bit soon...a couple others had pre-draft rankings too. Though it didn't really help them....Peyton went #2 and Tom Brady went #4 overall. 🙄 Can't complain, though, since that's why Tiki fell to me at #6. 🙂

Thing is, we can't just 'pick up' players. You have who you have and that's that. The only way you can pick up new players is if a player retires, or if he's on the IR. That's it.
