Fantasy Football Discussion

So saying 8 am in ADVANCE makes it better? That was too early to begin with and for a damn fantasy draft? You have got to be kidding me. And calling me a brat because I don't want to have to wake up that early on a Sunday? Excuse me if I didn't cuddle up in bed at 10 on a Saturday night just so I can wake up for a draft. I don't even think this date and time was well thought out, it may have been convenient for you to wake up at 11:45 but making the people on the west coast wake up at 8 on a Sunday morning is just plain bull shit. And digi, I could care less about your hostility towards the people who don't want to wake up at 8 and "roll over to their pc", I don't care what time you get up for work and I don't care how often you do so. In the end you ****ers got who you wanted because of what time zone you live in, maybe next time when your scheduling a draft and want everyone to show up, think about all of your members. And in a 10 man league that should not be hard, and especially since it's a forum league, it shouldn't be hard to just drop them off a private message asking them if that time is alright. But whatever man, you guys do whatever the hell you want to do, I'm done with this bull shit. And I am commish in a ESPN league and I know for a fact you could have restarted the draft, I don't know why you thought I would have believed that lie, like this is my first time. It's not like you would have lost your players or your draft order, you were only in the second round, would it have hurt to restart?

Heres my boys...I was all hype about getting Michael Vick, then I remembered he might be in prison. 😂 So I dropped him and got Eli Manning in a pending transaction, as well as another WR, Amani Toomer. I have great receivers, and two QB's with great potential. I am hoping for a good defense, and an above average offense.

Um first of all we did not do what was easy for us. I was up at 7:30 so it didnt matter to me what time zone I was in. Second of all I asked everyone what was best for them only a few people responded. Third I posted the time well in advance and said IF ANYONE DIDNT LIKE IT SPEAK UP. You NEVER said anything. If it was too early all you had to do was say can we move it back and we would have. But you never said anything. You cant expect us to read your mind. And restarting the draft is a joke. People had already gone through 2 rounds giving away their picks so its unfair to restart it.

Bottom line is we gave everyone a LOT of notice on the draft time and gave everyone a chance to voice their opinion on changing it. You cant decide you dont like it 30 minutes into the draft and then expect change. Sorry bud we can only try to help you so much. We even waited 10 extra minutes just for you because we all thought you were coming.

We have people in lots of different time zones. Sunday worked for the most number of people. And forum actually moved it back from 10AM EST because you were whining, so he was trying to do you a favor. Also, you were only gone for the first 2 picks...the rest of the draft was your fault for leaving again.

Anyway, if you need to be this big a b*tch about a free fantasy league, be my guest. But I'm done responding to your grade school tantrums.

Drew Carter WR

but when I go back to my roster, the new players are not there. It says "empty" where they are supposed to be. they ARE going to show up, right?

Eli Manning QB are not showing up either, even though I added them earlier.

You wont get them until they clear waivers and because you drafted first overall, your roster picksup are last in order. Dont worry, you'll get them unless somebody steals them from you. I think the waiver date is tuesday, or thursday, but it will happen before the first game.

Dont quit just yet. You'll be fine. You have a good starting lineup and you have the best fantasy player in the league in LT.

You have Moss, LT, Harrison, Burress, Winslow (who did well for me last year) and the kicker.

Then with your bench, you got Bulger and MaGahee. Thats a damn good starting lineup. You have the best RB, top 5 QB, top 3 WR, and Moss who could be huge this year. MaGahee could be damn good again. The only thing you might worry about is depth and the Colts D.

With a little luck with waiver pickups, and maybe some trades. You'll be fine. It's not that bad. Trust me, LT is easily worth 30-40 points a game, and maybe 20 on a bad day. Heck, you can upgrade your whole team if you want to trade LT, but well, I wouldnt do that.

I aint even gonna worry about it.

Yeah, I'm just waking up to my lineup this morning. I'm pretty sure the only people I moved up on my list were Santonio Holmes, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Jacobs, and Thomas Jones. Maybe their Defense, can't remember. But even though week 6 will be tough (Steelers bye week), I guess I'm alright with it. It's Auto-Draft, so I can't complain.

At least I didn't draft The Bus.

Two other players I picked up, I can't remember their names. a WR and a TE, I believe.

Now that I look at it, I have a pretty good squad. I have depth, a kickass RB, good WR's, and at least two QB's with potential for a great season. I am hoping Eli steps up and lives up to the hype. And I am very confident in the Colts defense and special teams.
