I think I did, actually. I was in a live draft on Saturday afternoon and I drafted sixth, and these idiots let Jackson fall all the way to #5! And, of course, I ended up with Parker at #6. I guess I'm a bit of a homer on that one. Steelers or no Steelers, I have an autographed picture of me and Willie in his parent's driveway because I work in his hometown of Clinton, NC. That's got to count for (nothing) something in Fantasy Football Land.
Gah. The guy in my money league is willing to trade his top overall pick. He's asking for a lot, but I might be able to talk him into something. He wants earlier picks in subsequent rounds, so 4th overall doesn't give me a ton of leverage, but I'm thinking about just giving him, say, my 4th round pick for a pick a round or two later (and also switching within various other rounds). Having the 24th pick after LT doesn't seem terribly fun, but I already have 21st after getting Alexander....the value of LT is likely worth it.
Meh, we'll see. I'm all about solid drafts with no trades. I'll probably end up regretting the lower picks.
I wouldnt do it.
Your putting all your eggs in one basket...(talk about being lame haha)
What happens if LT goes kaput and then your ****ed up the ass.
I'm also for solid drafts and if your are going to trade, I only trade starter for starter plus bench. No multiplayer deals and definitly not trading two starters for one.
I actually made him an offer for the top pick, but it's a very modest one (with some sneaky language attached to it). I'm only giving up 7 overall spots in 5 rounds to him in relation to what I have now, and I'm getting 3 of those back by going from 4-to-1 overall. So it sounds a lot better when I sent it to him, but sacrificing 4 draft slots to get LT isn't really a risk.
I doubt he'll accept, but I might let him push me a bit further. He seems set on trading the top pick, so I might as well give it a shot.
Besides, I can handle it if LT tanks. Odds aren't great on it, I'll handcuff him with Turner, and I'm willing to ride him through my season and trust myself to draft a solid team around him.

you guys wanna hear something hilarious? a confession, if you will? I signed in late for the draft, like 10 minutes late. When I signed in, my draft was on autopilot, and LT was drafted for me by the computer.I love my laptop!! *kisses laptop*
I would have picked him anyways, I am just saying.
It doesn't matter who had the first pick or what laptop/computer you are using, the autopilot picks the highest ranked player availible unless you pre-rank.
