I knew it was too early for a QB but no real "for sure" RB's were left on the board, I thought maybe McCallister or Portis would be left but they got taken quick.

mcalister and portis were gone by in the top 9?

so LT, Jackson, LJ, Alexander, Adai, Gore, Westbrook, mcalister, and portis were the top 9? or well I guess Peyton manning went cause you took Palmer. And well you said henry was gone. So 2 of those RB's i mentioned were available along with prolly Maroney, Benson, Mcgahee, Brown, Parker, Rudi Johnson, jones.

interesting draft to say the least.

Yeah, looking back, I pretty much f*cked myself.

you still have a decent team but I would look at trading Palmer/Edge for a top tier RB. Also I would drop a DEF or a TE and pick up someone like Selvin Young.

Well I guess it's time you can rate my team now since the last 4 picks I have no idea what to do. I had the 4th pick with 10 teams, and maybe 5 or 6 were there.

QB: Mcnabb, Palmer
RB: Addai, McGahee
WR: Larry Fitz, Joey Galloway, Bernard Berrian
TE: Shockey
WR/RB: Fred Taylor
K: Jason Elam, Joe Nedney
DEF: San Diego, Denver
D: Ray Lewis, Brian Dawkins, Dwight Freeny, Chris Mcaillister
DB: Ed Reed, Darren Sharper
DL: Julius Peppers, Anthony Cannon

And that's all starting line-up, and they only give you 4 bench players. I'm deff. not going to be used to this.

EDIT: It is a PPR league. Would it be a good trade to do Addai for Westbrook or Bush straight up?

westbrook could be the #3 pick in a ppr league. But i dont have a lot of experience playing them I would have to look at the numbers a lot more. The defensive setup would give me a headache in this one. It looks like you have a good setup on the D side but hard to tell. You start 2 QB'? If so I have to imagine you have the most dominance at QB in the league.

Yep except for week 5 when both Palmer and Mcnabb have a bye. I had no clue who to pick on defense so I went with people I've heard of.

yea i stopped at about the 3rd category. Any advice I would have would be a total guess. No offense but this league is crazy.

As it pertains to defensive players:

Tackles are much more frequent than the other categories...the players that will give you the most steady points are linebackers that play a lot. James Farrior, Lofa Tatupu, Brian Urlacher, DaMarcus Ware, etc. Even big-name DB's will put up less than them, and sometimes top tier DB's (like Champ Bailey, for example) don't get thrown to a lot and have bad fantasy numbers even though they're great players.

I think I going to try and trade Addai, and Fred Taylor for Westbrook and Adrian Peterson.

That's why INT's doesnt really reflect on how great a player is.

'Bout time somebody didn't get gunshy about pulling off a trade. I was about to start calling this league League Lip Service.

Congrats, Digi, on the acquisition of Brandon Jacobs (whenever ESPN takes a notion to put it into effect).

Sweet. I'm actually close to having Jacobs in every one of my leagues (3 of 4, but the last guy is being stingy about it so it'll likely stay that way). The Football Frankenstein is going to go nuts, and with two perrenial injury risks as my starting RBs, I'll likely need him.

Enjoy Antonio. For some reason I've never been big on him anyway....probably because this is the first league I've ever owned him in.

I've been trying to get trades done, but nonbody ever tries to tell me what they want when they decline it, its just declined.

I can understand Fred Taylor, but why Addai?

He needs something to justify getting Westbrook. Addai is probably > Westbrook but Peterson is likely >> Taylor. Seems like a fair-ish deal. And with a healthy McNabb, Westbrook could take off.

I dont understand the big deal with Peterson.

He plays for a shit team with no QB and no WR, so that automatically means 8 defenders in the box. He plays with Chester Taylor, a very capable which means he wont get all the carries.

Give me Addai over Westbrook anyday, and Taylor and Peterson are not that far apart.

I think people went nuts with that sweet run Peterson had a couple weeks ago. He faked out a few guys, outran another, then plowed the hell out of a guy before running out of bounds.

Still, he's in a platoon. He'll win teh job eventually (barring injury) but it might be midseason before he's a viable fantasy starter.

Was that in preseason?

I wouldnt trade Addai for anything. I'm actually pretty worried that I didnt pick him up instead of going for Alexander. Could be my downfall.

I had a shot at him too in one of my money leagues. I considered it (I was #4) but Alexander is just so proven and consistent. Before last season he had something like 5 straight seasons of 15+ touchdowns.

If the Colts D sucks, Addai might not see enough touches to warrant his high spot since he won't be on the field as much and Peyton will need to throw a bunch.

Yeah, I guess, but every year the Colts have bad D, but James was always consistent on getting good yardages.

The Colts do throw alot, but they do run alot too, and I wouldnt be surpraised if Addai gets alot touches, and alot of receptions.
