I thought when you declined my package (ahem...my RB package) for Chad Johnson, and then I declined your counteroffer of Reggie Wayne, it was pretty clear that the downgrade of Reggie Wayne compared to Johnson was the deciding factor.

Why do you think everything is about you hotshot?? Hahaha.

What if it was Johnson, for Wayne straight up, or have you traded him already?

Would any of you's trade Carson Palmer, Willis McGahee, and Larry Fitz for Tom Brady, Reggie Wayne, and Reggie Bush?

I would trade McGahee 4 Reggie Bush

Probably not, unless it was a PPR league. Large big-name deals seem insane to me anyway. But let's break it down:

By most estimates (with roughly standard scoring):
Palmer is slightly > Brady
Fitz > or = Wayne
McGahee = Bush

...

The lone thing I'll say for it is that Peyton may have a monster season, which could reverse the Wayne/Fitz equation. And he's also a Marvin Harrison hammy away from being the most productive receiver in football by far. Bush probably has a higher ceiling than Willis as well.

But the Pats have a good overall team...Brady won't need gigantic numbers. Palmer will. His defense is pretty bad.

So the people you'd be getting have a bit more potential upside. But there's more consistency on your current 3. Bush is electric but inconsistent. Larry is a #1 receiver, Wayne isn't. Give me consistency over flash any day.

It is a PPR league. The scoring system is on the page before this one.

In that case, do it. Bush is leagues ahead of McGahee in PPR leagues.

Weasel out of the Palmer/Brady aspect of it if you can, but otherwise you're golden.

That point system is still crazy, but 4 receptions = 16 pts....1 more than a TD. That's monstrous for someone like Reggie, who caught 88 passes last year.

He really wants Palmer, so I probably won't be able to make a trade without Palmer in there.

He really loves Bush too so I don't think he will accept it, I just wanted to make sure I'm not offering a retarded trade. And judgeing by the offers he was making me, I don't think he'll accept it either. He was offering Wayne/Favre/some other dude for Palmer straight up.

DO IT the palmer for brady is great for you. You get points for completions right? Brady will complete a ton of passes and I imagine his point value will be right up there with Carson maybe even higher.

Hadn't thought about that, but it's a good point. And Reggie just makes the deal amazing for you.

Why no love for Reggie Wayne?

I think he'll have a better year than Fitz in fantasy, he did last according to the point totals of ESPN. He hasnt been injured, and he has Manning.

I'm a big fan of Fitz because I have him in a few of my leagues, and I'm also a hardcore Pitt fan. So maybe I'm biased. But they'll probably be around the same...I just remember Wayne was hit-and-miss sometimes when Marvin would have a big day.

Still, the deal is obviously in your favor regardless. Hopefully he accepts it.

so when do the games start?

All,
If, in the next few weeks, anyone is interested in Marshawn Lynch, Thomas Jones, Jamal Lewis, Cadillac Williams, or Deshaun Foster, I'd be willing to part with them for a #1 WR.

Yes, I know it may not be attractive now, but things can change in the first few weeks. One of your RB's could go down, one of the above RB's could un-platoon himself, or one of the above RB's could explode. Who knows, I may be willing to part with Willie Parker or Rudi Johnson if the price is right.

Just know I'm here for you, because here at RB Mini-Mart, it's all about you.

What do you want for Parker, or Johnson?

Chad Johnson for Rudi Johnson. Johnson for Johnson. Teammate for teammate.

Hmm, I'll think about it.

Yep, proof that my league is totally retarded. Brees play terrible, Manning played great, but Brees ended up with 151 points, while Manning had 141.

That....

...can't be possible.

I'd talk to the commish about that if I were you. Some wholesale changes might be in order.
