[]Aren't they a little far for your radar to track them, SC?[]

Raevynn snapped her Sniper rifle back in it's place over her shoulder. "Keep a sharp eye on that radar, Spike. I'll check in with you the second I get a visual. Marie, if you decide to help out with the recon, just make sure you stay a ways behind me." With that, she darted into the forest, making hardly a sound at all.

As Raevynn ran through the forest, she started to grasp the feel of the suit, and the way it reacted with her body. Eventually her run turned into a sprint. "Good, Raevynn! Now if you don't mind im opening a COM link with Spike and the others. Better be prepared. And for goodness sake do not forget to check your map once you've reached the bottom of this hill!"

It didn't take long for her to reach end of the hill. She crouched silently in front of a boulder, taking out her map, she began to unfold it. Gautama laughed in her ear. "Please, Raevynn, allow me." Instantly an identical map was displayed in front of her. A green dot blinked to life at the base of the hill. Obviously it was her position, and according to this map she needed to move straight ahead. A river served as a boundary between the two teams. She would take position there and wait for the first sign of blue team.

Seconds later, Raevynn was off again, snaking through trees and ducking under low branches. It took her a while, but after a lengthy journey, she came to stop near the edge of the forest. The sound of a roaring river told her she was in the right place. Raevynn drew her pistol infront of her eye, scanning the feild ahead for a good hiding place. A large risen slope in the middle of the feild caught her attention immediately. Before she had a chance to dash for the cover, a gun shot rang over the sound of the running water. Raevynn dropped to her stomach, her eyes wide open and scanning the surrounding area.

Parker replaced another shell to his shotgun. "Look, up on that hill to the left of us. I can see the Squad Leader. Spartans! Open fire!" Then the fire really started as men took aim and fired at the bump in the hill, but stop shortly, noticing their bullets did no good at all, as they bounced off the hill and either fell short into the river or right over it. Parker looked to his right and could barely see Jacob watching around for anyone on the Red Team trying to sneak across.

Listen up, kid. I'm going to activate your COM system so you can check up on those two dimwits of yours. If they screw up we're dead. Parker snapped back at Alavaka. "Please do, but call me Parker from now on. And stop calling them dimwits, ok?" Alavaka sighed. Fine. Sorry Parker. Here you go, your COM's been activated.

"Spartan Zero-Eight-Six, this is Spartan One-One-Five. Full Status Report. Same with you, Spartan Zero-Four-Eight."

Deuce hated disobeying a direct order but this time he felt he could do more if he went alone. The plan was to meet up with the unit later when he had a chance to move after the enemy had. Sweat collected on his palms as he waited every antagonizing second for his chance to shine. Hundreds of thought buzzed through his mind until he singled out one thought, the chance to secure the flag for his team. He truly didn't want to have the flag when he retrieved it, his true plan was to secure the flag and pass it onto one of his squad-mates. He snapped back into reality when he heard something over his COMM system. It was two oh his team-mates planning. It was a very hard and trying decision but he broke into the radio wave.

"Sir, I don't know if I can safely move to your current posstion. Please respond with your orders for me. Zero-Six-Four out."

Spike heard the gun fire from his position and he got up and walked to the edge of the base and activated his com link.

"Rae are you ok?"

Spike asked over the com link and there was no reply. Spike showed the signal with his hand that everyone could fire at will if you saw someone and they were not on red team shoot them. Spike then opened his com link again.

"Marie I need you to stay and protect our flag please im going to go check and see if squad leader is ok. I'll get back to you once I find her ok."

Spike said as he clipped the assualt rifle to his side and drew his battle rifle. Spike exited the base and made it half way down the hill before he heard sniper fire. He ignored it and made his way down the hill a little farther. He could see Rae pinned down behind a rock. Spike reached down to his side and grabbed two smoke gernades and launched them across what seemed to be a river. They went off and smoke filled the air. Spike took advantage of the situation and activated his thermal sensors and started to pick off some of the spartans on the other team until he almost dropped his gun. There was a very bad stinging in his arm. His arm was clipped by a stun round from a sniper rifle. He dove behind the rock that Rae was behind and held his arm.

"Squad leader are you ok. you look ok but are you. On my way down here I took out about five or six blue team spartans but I don't think I took out the major threast like Parker,Wise and deffinitly not Jacobe. I was about to shoot this bulky guy with a shotgun but then Jacobe caught me in the arm. So I don't think we are safe yet. Should I call back to the base."

Spike said crouching behind the rock next to Rae. He threw a flash bang over the rock blindly hoping to stop the blue team for a minute or two.

Raevynn stayed low, replacing her pistol with her sniper rifle. Blue team was laying down some heavy fire, but from across the river, their chances of hitting her were slim. That was assuming Jacob wasn't with them, and to assume such a thing was foolish. Raevynn unfolded the two legs of her rifle and propped the weapon up in front of her. Still laying flat on her stomach she began adjusting the scope.

Suddenly a thick grey smoke blocked her view of the Spartans across the river. She craned her neck to see where it had come from, and as if from no where, Spike appeared beside her. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"I'm fine." She answered. "They won't be able to hit me from where they're at. For now im safe. But you need to get back to the base and warn everyone. Blue team is advancing alot faster than I thought they would. We need to draw them in closer and take them out."

Raevynn returned to her work of fiddling with the rifle. She moved one eye to the scopes level, and closed the other. Her finger moved to the trigger, ready to pull down at the first sign of a target. The smoke clouded her vision, but as it started to clear she could see a few Spartans moving out. Raevynn increased the magnification on her scope with one hand, then returned it to the black grip near the front of the rifle. Seconds later her finger pressed the triger. A shot rang and one of blue teams Spartans toppled over.

[If you just took out 5 or six people, you took out my entire squad SC, and I think that's a bit much..]

Parker ducked down low and rolled over to the side into some tall grass with about 3 or 4 Spartans who weren't shot with stun bullets. "Damn, smoke grenades. Jacob, Wise, I need those Status Reports now! We're losing men out here." At that moment, another one toppled over from a sniper shot. "Holy Crap! Get back in the grass quick!" Parker pulled out a smoke grenade and launched it, watching as it flew over the hill and exploded, sending smoke flying in the view of Raevynn.

"This is bad, this is really, really bad." He tried shaking some of the Spartans into consciousness while the smoke still lasted. He could only get 2 of them up and crawling. "You two stay out of the fight for awhile, you're in no condition to fight." Parker pulled out his Battle Rifle, and zoomed in on the scope. He could barely see the forms of the two Spartans through the smoke. When he sure he saw one he fired, and the bullet hit directly on target, right at the visor.

Deuce knew his team was under fire. He sighed momentarily before jumping to his feet firing randomly hoping to draw the attention of the sniper. Remembering the COMM channel. "I'll draw their fire, you guys go for it. I'll take one for the team this time!" With that a mad-dash didn't seem so bad to him. The repeating sounds of his feet meeting the ground annoyed him. Pulling the quite large sniper from his back, pulling the weapon into ready mode he huffed it onto the shoulder area of the armor and took aim, searching for the others teams shooter. Spotting a red spartan he didn't take time to solidify his aim and fired when the reticle was on the chest area of the spartan.

Spike was just about to split and start running back to the base when he was forced to the ground. His visor had been hit by a bullet and the force had sent him to the ground. He cautiously got up and shook the blow to his visor off. He got up and dashed away back to the red base in a zig zap patteren making it hard for a sniper to get him. He reached the base and dove inside. Once he was inside he made his way to the back and clicked on the com link.

"Everyone fire at will be ready blue team is advancing alot quicker than planned. So everyone be ready."

Spike yelled over his com link before he wlaked over and croutched in a dark corner of the base. He sat down and unlatached his helmet and set it beside him. He went to grab his head when something he didnt want to hear started to speak.

"What in gods name are you doing put your helmet back on right now!"

Asoska yelled. Spike ignored Asoska and rubbed his head. His vision was a little blurry and he felt somewhat dizzy. That round to the head really did some work on him. Spike got into a crouched position and put his helmet back on. He left and went back out to help Rae but he didnt go to the river bank he went slitly outside the base and watched over the terrian with his battle rifle ready to fire when needs. He opened the com link to Rae.

"How you holding up down there squad leader. Do you need me to come back down there or give you cover fire while you make your way back up here. I already warned the others about the enemy advancing and they are ready."

Spike said over the com link before he shook his head. His head still hurt and everything was still a little blurry.

Another Smoke grenade went off between her and the enemy. A well placed bullet smacked into Spikes face plate, and Raevynn knew another was headed for her. She rolled onto her back, taking cover behind the boulder as she hugged her sniper to her chest. Sure enough, a round thumped into the dirt where she had been moments before.

Raevynn knew her time here was spent. She clicked her rifles safety on, then slung it back over her shoulder, waiting for the right moment to move. As spike charged back into the forest, she moved as well, but in the opposite direction.

She ducked and rolled into a thick tall grass that provided perfect cover from the enemy. Raevynn waited silently, blinking to bring up her motion tracker. Spike's vioce sounded over her COM, checking in on her. "I'll be just fine." She replied quitely. "Be carefull, you got hit pretty bad."

A feeling of extreme luck flushed through Deuce's mind as he layed behind a rock and switched to the MA5B. Planning to rush the base and take out as many of the Red team as he could. Deep in his mind Deuce knew he would fail to take many out before he was swamped with fire. Taking in a deep breathe he calmed himself and started to run for the base with his Assault Rifle blaring away making a repetative noise that slightly got on the nerves of Deuce. He switched to controlled bursts to make the gun function better and making him less obvious to the enemy. Deuce ran to a rock and dived behind it without hesitation. A hiss passed by and he knew instantly he was taking fire.

"Why did I have go straight to the front way..? If this keeps up and the smoke clears I'll be dead.. Let's do this Deuce."

The way the fire hits the rock made it painfully obvious that they were firing into the smoke. None the less he was bound to be hit if he went out into the hotzone. Deuce took in a long breath before leaving his prone postion and proceeded to blind-fire through the smoke and pray he hit something.

Jacob was looking over the battle field oh just then he saw her. Rae was coming down the Hill. He was ready to track her all he need was the distance closed right now he was about a 21% one shot kill chance with her. He didn't want to take the risk and take miss her to give up his position so quick.

So Jacob decided to play look out and track his fellow blue team. He saw that Blue team quickly dispatched some of the Blue Team that had gotten to careless. Oh no Jacob thought to himself.

He saw four Reds began to close position on Parker. Jacob quickly focused into the Scope. This was his world now. All that mattered was in his scope. On Red team member had a shotgun pointed close to Parker. He was the first to go down as a stun round hit him square in the visor. The red guy that had been behind him started to look down at his fallen teammate. Before his head even tilted the bullet bounced into head knocking his feet off the ground.

Jacob saw the final two red Spartans, unaware their teammates had gone down, began to close on Parker. Jacob then fired a shot hitting the third red in the head again. Jacob began to move the rifle over to the last red Guys head until he realized he was about to fire. Jacob had no choose but to fire at his arm. The bullet hit dead on in the arm causing him to flinch.

Jacob quickly dispensed the spent clip in his Sniper Rifle and reloaded. By the time he was able to relook into his scope a large smoke cloud had been deployed. Even though Jacob could see the person who had to be Spike the cloud caused too much of a blur to further risk loosing location security.

"Jacob incoming Com link from Parker," Ambapali said. He was requesting a Status Report. Jacob said, "three down, Spike retreating loss of Rae though. Ambapali fill them in on the rest"

Ambapali did so, "It appears as if there frontal defense has just collapsed and they are regrouping on the far banks close to their base. advisement from this location is to advance slow Rae is still out there and will prove to be too dangerous to outright charge. Jacob can maintain covering fire until you reach roughly the bottom of there hill then Jacob can no longer offer any continual effective down cover."

Spike was behind a tree when he heard Raes voice on his com.

"I'll be careful just give me cover fire im moving up."

Spike said as he left from the trees cover and turned on his thermal vision to see threw the smoke. He couldn't see anything until something moved. He saw for a very quick second something red appear from behind a rock. He ran in a crouch position to the rock and used it as cover. He then turned and went around it and smacked the spartan who was hiding there in the middle of his back knocking him down.

"Identify yourself! Or I will shoot you at this close of range."

Spike said pressing one foot into the Spartans back keeping him on the ground. But not for long. Spike heard some bullets flying by him and he took off back to the base but before he could get back to some good cover he was hit square in the back of his helmet from a sniper round or regular round. Spike made his way back to the base as fast as he could but when he reached the entranc ehe fell to the ground unconcious. But before he was out of it you could hear his voice very faintly in the com link.

"Sorry red team I have failed you."

( o and the spartan i almost took out was you survivur ok your lucky i got hit lol 😛 )

Deuce looked out from the rock and noticed that the smoke near him was clearing and that about five red team members were heading his way. Nothing was going through his mind but "Go out with a flash Deuce"
He jumped up from behind the rock firing and hitting tow of them knockeing one out and startleing the other. Almost instantly Deuce took fire from all directions. His body went almost numb as he fell to the ground. All he could here was a loud ringing that seemed like a high pitched bell. His sight was heavily blurred and due to his ears being shocked, his vision seemed to be slowler than normal. His last move was to slowly talk into the intercom. "Taking fire.. need immediate back up.. please respond."

Abbra wearily sank a mere twenty feet in front of Raevynn. Her hands sank into the soil, clutching it. Her lungs starved for oxygen, how long she ran, Abbra didn't really know. The wall in her throat refused to move, and she struggled to calm down her racing heart. Rattling coughs shook her as her body slowly crawled weakly towards her team mate.

Hopefully, she had lost the members of the blue team she was fleeing from. Four of them, they had shot her to the point where she grew fearful. The sniper had in fact shot her right below the collar bone. Finally, she reached her ally. "How're we lookin?" She asked, her voice as raspy and rough as sand paper.

After about 15 mintues Spike was concious but could barely move. He gathered up enough strength to crawl to a dark corner but that was it. He removed his helmet and was bleeding in the back of his head a little.

"im sorry red team i have failed you and i dont think i can go on anymore so i'll do as much as i can from my position."

Spike said over the com link with a very weak voice he could barely see his eyes were so blurry and his head was still really dizzy. Spike went to pick up his weapon but he didnt have enough strength so he just laid there helpless and all feeling very ashamed of himself being already taken out of the mission.

Raevynn was shocked to see a speedy green blip on her radar. It was moving straight for her, and by the sound of it, it wasn't Spike returning. It was someone much smaller.

Abbra plopped down in the grass only a few feet away. She was absolutely exhausted. Raevynn turned to fill Abbra in on the situation, but before she could speak, yet another COM message burped in her ears.

"Sorry red team, I have failed you." Were spikes only words before the message had ended.

Raevynn looked to Abbra with worry, although her dark golden visor obscured all the emotions of her face. "Looks like we're running out of time. We need to make up for some lost ground." She spoke quietly. "We'll rest for a while, then we need to get across that river."

Raevynn grabbed her pistol and held it with one hand. She knew she most likely wouldn't need it, but they were better off being prepared. "Are you alright, Abbra? Who was chasing you?"

"Give me and a second and I can do it." She panted, squeezing a stitch in her side. "I attempted to rush 'em, but I only knocked one out before four others caught up with me. Thankfully I can run like a deer, so I was able to book it out of their range. Not sure who it was though -" She broke off listening to Spike's COM.

"As for making up for lost ground, I'm sue it's nothing we can't handle. We just need to regroup, take back whats ours and push 'em out. I say, after regrouping, we'll be able to decide the best coarse of action."

"Bloody hell, I wouldn't recommend running - go stealth so much easier." Abbra coughed again, listening to Danton ask her over and over again if he wanted to supply her with pure oxygen. "How long do we wait?"

About 20 minutes later Spike had gotten enough strength to get to his feet and hold his rifle. He couldn't walk very fast at all but he knew his team needed him. So he got up and started walking out of the base to where he saw a blue member come around a corner and try to sneak in the base his shot a round into the spartans faceplate and moved on. he knew it wasnt a good idea but he didnt want to be shot again so he threw a smoke gernade infront of him and it rolled down the hill a little before going off.

"Im coming squad leader......"

Spike said over the com in a exhusted voice. Spike then saw there their freindly blips on its motion sensor and made his way into the grass and went prone.

"I made it squad leader and nothing will stop me from accomplishing my mission the only thing that will stop me is death and I will not die unless its from killing myself."

Spike said looking at his two teamates.

Jacob was scanning every blade of grass that moved. Every ripple in the river looking for Rae. He couldn't find her. She was hiding somewhere outside of Jacob's line of sight.

Jacob thus once more began to overlook the battlefield. Only Jacob had was left to defend the base. Everyone else had gone forward with Parker. Jacob could see the how the initial action had played out. Blue team had taken a few more causalities in the first frontward movement. Though it accomplished more than people knew. Red team was scattered and trying to regroup making some of the slower people easy cannon fodder.

Jacob didn't hesitate though in understand what a good regroup could do for the Red team. Spike was out Jacob had managed to see him go down meaning only Rae was left with the ability to regather them. At this point she was the most dangerous person the field both because of her great sniping and great leadership.

Jacob knew what he had to do. "Ambapali open a Comm Link to Parker and request ability to move out."

Ambapali did as she was asked, "Blue Squad Leader this is position Spartan Zero-Eight-Six requesting permission to move out from current position to find a knew location."

Ambapali then said, "We have a green light to move out Jacob but may I ask why we are. the current position offers the best location for defense and it also keeps you in the safest location which is the most important thing Jacob."

Jacob leaned on his right elbow bracing the weight off his feet so that he could swing his legs underneath and slide down the hill and began to track around. At the base he came from behind kneeling looking forward. Then he said, "We're going hunting Ambapali."

"There might not be enough time to regroup." Raevynn started. "With that many blues headed for our flag, they're sure to capture it before we have a chance to change our strategy. If you're up for it, we can take a stab at capturing the blue flag. Even if we fail, we'll most likely draw a large number of them back to their own base. That'll give us time to re cooperate."

Just then, Spike dropped in on the two, still a little shaken from earlier. "What are you doing here?" Raevynn scowled. "You should be defending the flag." She let out a sigh and changed her tone before speaking again. "There are too many blue's near our flag, Spike. They need your support up there. I'll check in with you as soon as we're in range of the flag. That's when we're going to need some covering fire."
