I'm a young white male, (anglo-saxon and Protestant to boot) who makes less than $20,000 a year, lives in California, speaks Spanish, listens to Hip-hop, doesn't support abortion or gay marriage, but still somehow managed to work a variety of construction, kitchen, and warehouse jobs in my past, where I worked alongside Mexicans and Blacks, and oh shit, the business were OWNED by Mexicans and Blacks as well.

The "conservative agenda" as you put it, isn't all you think it is. (although for some conservatives, it is.)

Some people simply don't think that "doing what you want, whenever you want" is the way to run a country or teach an up-and-coming generation how to run it later.

The Conservatives that I know aren't against "all forms of social progression", they are just cautious as to what they would define as PROGRESS in the first place.

Example: Promoting the idea that un-protected or protected sex is a great thing to do, at any age, should be explored and encouraged, and STD's and pregnancy aren't too big a deal. STD's can be treated, and babies can be aborted. Year after year if necessary, with no lasting consequences in the young peoples lives.... Shit, we'll even pay for it.

Becuase I don't consider that worldview as "progress" and I support abstinence and am pro-life, that makes me some racist, bigot, oppressor of all things free?

Seriously stop buying into the system. To beat the system think out of the box, yes in the USA you have the opportunity to move up but there is no guarantee. Are you saying the system failed somehow? I will say there isn't always an equal playing field, however that doesn't take away the fact they can still play the same game, most would rather not take the risk or would rather make excuses as to why they couldn't make "it."
