That was explained from the first issue of New New Avengers (27). They're there to rescue Maya Lopez (aka Ronin)

i know. but i doubt the scene shift was "we're trapped in some shield base by the mighty avengers, whoops, now we're automatically rescuing echo without transition." i feel like part of the scene was missing, or hasn't fully played out yet.

it's really not common courtesy. holding the door open for an old woman is common courtesy. not talking in the scans thread is something that used to be a reasonable courtesy and is now an outdated "rule", seeing as the issues have all but stopped coming out.

It doesn't really matter. If someone is looking for a scan, they shouldn't have to start at page [50] and then go back through 15 pages of random shit to hit the scans.
