I am afraid you are wrong, AC.

Speaking from a definite position of authority here, being involved in the decisions that created the OTF and knowing inside out this place before and after, I can state categorically that the introduction of the OTF massively changed what this place was.

Getting rid of it would also cause such a massive change. Therefore, by any meaningful definition of the word, KMC would not be carrying on 'normally' if it did go, seeing as what is 'normal' to KMC now is the place that it became with the introduction of the OTF.

The GDF has so little relation to what it used to be, that trying to compare it to what it was is futile as well; I can very definitely say that the OTF is more to this place now than the GDF, and would have more effect by its removal. It is more important to this place now than the GDF is. And a claim that the GDF has always been here means little, because what the GDF was is already dead.

And on a purely technical note, it isn't even correct to say that this place always had a GDF. It didn't, and when it was first put in, Raz was opposed to the idea...

lying out loud and accusing someone of doing something that they clearly didnt do, and then pm'ing a meaningless blanket apology while not acknowledging just what you did is just weak. whats even more weak is how you come right back here and run your mouth about it. i never called for a public apology, but rather for you to take back your lie with the same publicity of which you parroted it. with that said, and as i said, its not my problem if you cant fess up for your ****-ups. kthxbye

When I joined, there was Welcome, GDF, Movie Discussion, Movie Reviews, Movie Trivia, Star Wars Episode 2, Episode 1, Episodes IV-VI, Star Wars Humor, Star Wars Trivia, News and Questions, Star Wars RPG, and the mod forum...I think.

I wasn't here at the very start, no, but I was in before the point where it became more than just 'another forum'.

When it kicked off I think it had two or three Star Wars areas and some administrative areas... Raz actuially has a shopt of its earliest days.

By the time I was in, there were five SW areas, I believe (one for each new film and one for the old ones, and then an EU one... can;t quite remember if Trivia weas there or not), a dead-in-the-water SW RP area, a GDF, the invisible Jedi Council, and two administrative areas, one for testing things and one for questions.

OTF is still more fun than the GDF.
