Well, I'd say the GDF is more important to KMC as a whole than the OTF as it's been an integral part of the site since the very beginning.

But that means nothing...There were forums here when I first joined (presumably from the very start of KMC) that were fun to post in, which are no longer here. KMC evolves and can live without a GDF.

The GDF and the OTF are just two parts of a "Social Forum" they could very well be together...and for that it wouldn't matter if it was the GDF or the OTF that was deleted. GDF is just a name.

If the OTF was gone, KMC would not crumble, it would not affect KMC's existence. Proof? KMC existed without it for a long time. It could and would do so again. It wasn't NEEDED even when it was created, it isn't NEEDED now, it's just good while it's here and is useful. It isn't important to the lifespan of KMC, the GDF is and has been since the beginning.

It at some level it would affect KMC. No one knows if people would see the deletion of it and decide to just jump to other sites or other forums and cause chaos there. In those times you speak of you didn't have all the people who are considered OTF regulars. You have no proof only your own opinion. If you would take the time to look at this situation from a whole you'd see that your scenario isn't the only outcome.

You can't deny that with how debates go in circles and the same tired arguments being brought up over and over again, that it's not similar to how people just keep making the same lame threads repeatedly in the OTF, with the same sort of ego clashing.
