So, Peter is having problems with Kitty, who is jealous that he went to MJ about the Morbius incident rather than her. The next day, Pete and MJ hang out in the mall, only to have their day busted up by the appearance of a person in a Scorpion outfit. Needless to say, Pete sends MJ home, throws his work clothes on, and does his thing.
Throughout the fight, the Scorpion is screaming "It was here!", "Who are you masked mystery man, unveil yourself to the crowd!" Pete is confused. After a well deserved thrashing, Scorpion's mask is removed, revealing the face of Peter Parker.
Now Pete is REALLY confused.
At the Watson house, MJ comes home, let's her mother know that she has been at the mall, and heads to her room. When she closes the door, a Peter Parker-esque silouhette grabs her.
Later, MJ's mother comes to check on her, only to find that MJ has dissappeared.

The Fantastic Four are at the Baxter Building. Spider-Man arrives with the Scorpion. Reed examines him and concludes it's a 94% match to Peter Parker. Spider-Man unmasks, and yells what's he going to do? Reed asks General Fury whether his S.H.I.E.L.D. has been doing any cloning. The answer is no. Peter looks at the time, and heads home in a hurry. Leaving the Scorpion behind.
Afraid to confront his aunt May for being late again, Peter thinks of an excuse. But it's not really an issue for Mary Jane has gone missing. As Peter rushes to MJ's home, he find her mother there. Unseen to Peter but visible to the reader are hand and foot prints on the outside wall, near the bedroom window. Peter than rushes to a warehouse where MJ would like to go to, to write in her journal.
At the warehouse, he's met by a lady dressed in a black Spidey suit. Although masked, she looks like MJ. They fight. The masked lady then knocks out Peter when she shoots webbing from her finger tips. She then leaves.
When Peter is awake, he calls for MJ. It's no use, so he goes to his old house, trying to find her there. The door is open, inside he finds Gwen.
Then we see Mary Jane in a glass prison. A shadowy figure observes her, he knows how to protect her. MJ calls him by the name of Peter and asks where they are. The last page shows the outside of the Oscorp building.

The old house of Peter. Peter cries, who are you? you're dead... Gwen convinces him she's real. Where did she come from?
Cut to the Oscorp laboratory where Spider-Man was born. Mary Jane is locked up in a glass cell. She is screaming. A shadowy figure tells her in order for her to be able to defend herself, he'll make her just like him. And then a mutilated Peter is shown.
The Baxter Building. Reed and Sue try to talk to the Scorpion. They use the name Peter Parker on him. The Scorpion wants to know whether he's back at the zoo. He tries to get out of his tank. There are others, at the zoo. Reed sedates him. The suit is part of his body, this is too big to keep quiet and they call General Fury.
Back to Peter and Gwen. She remembers waking up in a hospital. She says she doesn't remember but blurred images are shown. As Peter wants to examine her bracelet, Aunt May enters the room. She sees Gwen, freaks out and runs home. When she reaches for the phone, Peter asks her to put it down and take a seat. He then reveals he's Spider-Man. After finishing telling what happened, Aunt May wants Peter to prove it. She looks angry and tells Peter to get out. He's not her son, she did not give up her adult life so she could be lied to. Then Richard Parker enters the kitchen. May isn't surprised at all and Peter can't believe what he's seeing.
Cut to the Baxter Building. Fury sees the Scorpion clone, gets on the phone and calls for the Spider Slayers, the full battalion. And a cleaner crew, it's going to get messy.
