So, I just finished with #98 of USM (Clone Saga pt. 2), and I have to say that I'm pretty pleased so far. The mystery of this female Spider-Clone has just started to build. She seems to resemble Ben Reilly in a lot of ways, but we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

Oh, and I loved Spidey taking his other clone to the F4. The interplay between the group and Spidey was great!

The only problem is some of the smudgier inking. I miss Thibert...

The next colorist is great though you have to admit.

The latest issue rocked.

So many shocks and surprises in it. Can't wait to see what happens next. Clones EVERYWHERE!!!

This is how I figure it:

This female clone is the new Scarlet Spider, and this second clone, the one whose face hasn't been shown, is our Ultimate Kaine. In 616, Kaine is all about protecting MJ, as is this one.

Now, what I'd really like to see is a twist, in that the chick we're led to believe is the Scarlet Spider is really a genetically engineered human using Peter's DNA and "the Suit" as a base, not the entire DNA pattern. Then she can be the Ultimate Spider-Woman!

And then... in issue 100... the full page splash of Ultimate Scarlet Spider!

I can't want either. I just love her.
When I saw how she fought Peter in US 98 right before
the end, it reminded me of KK's version of She-Venom.
Ok, they might have different fighting styles, but they're still
good, man.

I wonder if they will start to combine the two different fighting styles? You know, like adapting to survive.
