Think of the Carnage arc as a prequel.

I have a feeling we're going to see the real Carnage soon enough (bonded to Cletus Kassidy). We've already seen the serial killer's name come up, so I have a feeling he'll make his showing soon.

This helps me not hurt myself while re-reading the Carnage arc. dodgy

That's what I'm hoping too. I want Carnage to bond to C.K. and go on a kill crazy rampage like none other so far.

So far though, my favorite is probably Venom, but I like what they've done with Doc Ock and PARTIALLY what they've done with Electro. Still not digging the look 100%, but its sure as hell better than the starfish mask.

I think they will tell us when they want to give the exact reason why. The writers love to keep people in waiting.

Like I said, I'd be thoroughly impressed if they threw us for the loop and introduced the Ultimate Scarlet Spider as we expected HIM to be. Very impressed.

I do like Electro's new style. I like Scorpion better in general.

The Green Goblin character was ruined incredibly. 616 Norman is amazingly badass. But in the Ultimate stories, he's a hulk ripoff that has the intelligence of a four year old. It sucks.

Carnage was ruined as well. In 616, he was a lame plot device villain made to look and be scary. Now we have a poor man's Clone Saga, which is even worse.

Venom was really well done, to tell you the truth. He was scary, interesting, and has a much better motive and backround than 616 Brock.

Hobgoblin was just plain stupid. Kingsley was the coolest darn Hobgoblin ever, and Harry just isn't helping.

Electro was not badly done. While I prefer 616 Max, this guy was more relatable as an adversary. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Kingpin was well made. Not the mastermind I was looking for, but it could have been worse.

Shocker is a nice pullback from the constant "all great supervillain of the month". He was interesting.

Rhino was too little seen to judge. Nice design, though.

Didn't see Vulture.

Morbius was fantastic. I loved him in the Ultimate series. Pitch perfect. The only character in Ultimate that I like better than in 616.

Still, I'm going with Dr. Octopus. They kept him completely solid, if not better. Morbius at close second, though. Then Venom.

Come to think of it, Kingpin is a pretty cool villain. Plus, the dialogue between him and Peter is priceless. 😄

When I 1st started paying attention to spiderman thru comics, the 70's TV show. I used to think Mysterio was his arch nemisis. But closest thing to that is proly venom.

Honestly though, spideys rogue gallery sucks really bad compared to most hero's. Most those on his list are just 2 bit thugs with very gimpy motives an get most their powers from stupid gadgets. Venom's the most impressive

Hollywood and Double Trouble are my favs.

No, I haven't heard anything. Though I suspect Mark Brooks who does the USM annuals may get offered the job.

I like Brooks's style in the USM annuals.

I love how lame he is! It's great! It's hilarious! I never took the Shocker (616) to seriously anyway. He looks like a quilt!
