thats true actually Katelovespirate..it seems as if everyone is completley against Jack ending up with Liz (even Liz herself 😂 ) .. they obviously love one another but people are trying to screw it up for them..

but why would the wedding be stopped by "fate intervening" thats the big question...why would he so knowingly say that..and why would Tia (if she was behind it) try and stop the relationship of Will and Liz...??

Jack never really intentionally steals Liz..he just wins her over by being who he is and by learning to care more for her than other less important things....he's brave for her which is what she loves....😂

AHA! unless it was because Liz is probably the only person who would fear her emotions for Jack, so much so that she would actually kill him for it..maybe him coming back fromt he dead makes Jack susceptible for becoming a god.

I always thought when she said "Not as well as I had hoped" or whatever that she meant Jack just veiwed her as a friend...and she wanted more! hehe anyways thats what i thought...

but then It seemed as if Jack was probably gonna go down fighting anway...with or without the "persuasion" of Liz..

but it still means that had she not been there he would'nt have died fighting for her..he would have just made an escape..thats the reason why he was gonna stay on the pearl..he was just staring at her whilst everyone was talking about leaving..he was silent and just staring..probably deciding to stay for her..

That just seemed like playful banter to me. I didn't so much think they were lovers so much as, for lack of a better phrase, f-buddies, you know? Casual lovers? Maybe not even that. She seems like she has a flirty personality and that would go along with the Calypso theory.
Sometimes friends of the opposite sex do that playful sexual banter, and I think Jack was used to doing that with people (women) he considered friends. Just look at how much he flirted with Liz before he realized his feelings were serious.

I just wanna know if this is someones fan fiction or if its a real spoiler..apparently some people have been given permission to view Disney's official Jack/Tia back story...I dunno if this is it or not..

I think that Tia might be thinking she can easily win Jack over once he is her equal so bringing Liz into the equation isn't much of a "threat"..but I think that's totally gonna backfire on Tia..He will choose Liz still..its gonna seem like he doesnt care for her by putting her on Sao Feng's ship for a night but once he realizes liZ is in complete danger (jar smashing reveales that heart is not actually safe..been kidnaped by norrington and the EITC) he is gonna choose to care for her instead..he looked as if he was completley torn apparty once he saw the heart(resembling Liz) was in danger..He loves her..he shows no love to tia..no wanting to be with her..he wants to be with Liz and he shows us that he does.

If that whole him becoming a god thing is true that might happen..

I wonder if Tia knew Liz was going to chain Jack up..I think Tia may have just wanted Liz in the equation to make Jack fall in love with her and STAY on the pearl for her. Tia could be thinking that as soon as Jacks a god he will drop Liz....I think she is TOTALLY underestimating bringing Liz into the equation...Liz chaining Jack up only made things stronger between them both..Tia may have been expecting him to just tell Liz that he's going to stay and die..but Liz has this PIRATE nature in her and by chaining him up it only made him smile..and it also made him die realizing that she wants him TOO..and BADLY! This is only gonna make jack go after iz even more.. and I'm wondering if Tia underestimated all of this..

Ok I'll say it now that i have decided how to put it together properly:

In ancient Greek mythology Odysseus was a great sailor..he was quick witted very much like Jack's character..he often thought that his image was what was important than alot of things..

Calypso pretty much abandons the other gods and chooses Odysseus once he is marooned on her island...He loves it there for a while..but becomes unsatisfied, he just wants to leave..

..she offers him immortality but he REFUSES because he wants to get back to PENELOPE..who he REALLY LOVES

yeah i can see it happening b/c when you watch the CoTBP's special features they talk a lot about mythology and stuff...it wouldn't surprise me..

AH the character of Penelope!! rings some bells with Lizzie..

Telemachus also says of Penelope in book one: "She neither rejects a marriage she despises nor can she bear to bring the courting to an end."

If she is not at all interested in the suitors(will/Norrington), why doesn't she tell them so directly? Why does she lead them on, and promise to to wed one of them once the shroud is complete, while unraveling it at night?

She promises to marry one but its not what she really wants. She does this to both suitors in both films (Norrington = movie 1 Will = movie 2)

I think they might be trying to make Tia to be like the character of Circe the witch when she's in human forum..because Calypso wasnt a witch in the odyssey when she was in human form..she was still known as calypso..

"When Eurylochus 3's party found Circe's house, the witch invited them to enter, and all of them followed. Those who came in Circe treated them with Pramnian wine, to which she added a powerful drug to make them forgetful of their native land."

Liz is the only one who doesn't drink the booze that Tia gives out..

Odysseus gets sent to the underworld becuase of Circe...he learns about himself from lots of ghosts there..(the crabs Jack sees in purgatory?) his journey cant be completed unless he goes there in the odyssey...when coming out of here he CRASHES onto Calypso's shores..and is forced to stay even though he hates it there..she offeres him immortality and he refuses...he wants to get back to penelopy..

Towards the end of the Oddysey, Odyssus says to Penelope "Neither circe or Calypso could gain my heart..neither of them"

I don't see any signs that Tia is in love with Jack..they are just old friends, but someone he doens't really want to turn to unless absolutely necessary....like his life is on the line...and I don't think Tia is controlling everything that happens in the movie...
