i dont either

Yes I agree. I think it's the fate that intervened again! 😉

uhuh

to me when Lord Beckett says "a marraige interrupted or fate intervening...you take great efforts to ensure Jack Sparrow's freedom"...i think, like Norrington, he is just making an observation...I mean there she is with gun in hand, wanting the letters of marque signed and stamped by him that are intended for Jack Sparrow...he's just suggesting that instead of her looking at it as a marriage interrupted, that perhaps she should be glad, fate has intervened and she was saved from marrying the wrong man....I don't think he's had any connection with Tia....but I could be wrong..

I'm not into all this Greek Mythology and stuff...so, I'm not sure I'm going to enjoy POTC 3 all that much if everybody is going to turn into God' and sea goddesses and immortal creatures....too far fetched for me....I really don't think the writers are going to take it that deep...

ya, im not too in to mythology either.........unless of course Johnny is

probably not but every one who really know's the stuff is gonna taste it

i wanna taste Johnny! what? sorry, offtopic

no i meant the greek mythology, the ppl who are into it are probably gonna pick up on it in the 3rd movie

gosh get the johnny out of your ears *lol*

the greek mythology is really difficult!

i no! i dont get it

i've learned only a bit, but forgotten the most of it.

lol me too

Oh yeah I guess if Johnny likes it then I shall too....anything Johnny wants....Gosh I love him...oops I digress too....it's hard not too when Johnny/Jack are involved...he/he is just so HOTTT and Sexy and Gorgeous and Beautiful....

omg i luv him! he is sooooooooooo sexy its unbelievable!

Mmmmm....Johnny
Everyone explained The Odyssey very well. I'm reading it for the 3rd time in class, so I could summarize if anyone wants.

Odysseus is trying to get home after fighting in the 10 year Trojan war. He makes the god of the sea angry and the god Poseidon says he will never let Odysseus go home. For 10 more years, Odysseus drifts from island to island, all the while at home his wife Penelope can't get suitors out of her home. She still believes her husband is alive. Odysseus fights Cyclops, Circe the witch who turns his men into pigs, Sylla and Carybdis (monsters a little like the Kracken), sirens, and finally he washes up on a shore and Calypso takes him prisoner. He won't love her because he just wants to go back to Penelope and his son, so the gods have to order Calypso to release him. He goes on to Phoenecia, tells his story, and they send him home where he has to kill the suitors.

There are some elements of that in POTC, but like someone else said, I like the parts grounded in reality better. Gives you a better idea of what it was to be a pirate then, and to live in a world with them.

I doubt they are following it to a Tee..they are just taking certain elements of it and putting it into their own story..taking parts out of it and using them in a different context..

So I take it that DAVY is Posiedon..but I dont think that penelope is Tia...she cant be because she is calypso..

I think she is meant to resemble Circe (not the exact) the witch when she's tia..and she's meant to resemble Calypso..when she is Calypso 😂

well if will gets turned into a pig...then we'll know...lol

he wont lol...but I think Tia put something in those drinks she gave out at the end..just like Circe did..and the drug isnt what made them turn into pigs..
