Jack can't bare these awkward moments with Liz and walks over to his father.
"Look at yourself Jack, look at her, you love her, but if you keep denying it you will destroy something that could change your life forever"
Jack doesn't reply.
"Aye, it's your choice, but remember your life is at stake" Grant slowly walks away.
"But, i have a need to find Davy Jones, good can come out of this in the end...." Jack finally says.
Meanwhile, a small longboat was sailing away from the Pearl. Will had overheard the conversation, and decided to find the Flying Dutchman. He finally had a way to get rid of Jack Sparrow!
Liz is standing at the helm of the Pearl, looking out to sea. The water begins to bubble, and Tia rises from the water. No one notices this happening.
Tia: Well, well look at who is still not married.
Liz: (slowly begins to back away as Tia steps onto the deck) I know your plan, it's not going to work.
Tia: Ah! but i have a few friends who would like to meet you.
A women dressed in red scales, eyes as red as the sun, skin as white as snow but hairas black as ebony. The Dragon Lady rises and grabs Liz dragging her over the edge. Elizabeth screams, as Jack sees Liz being taken, "LIZ!!!". he screams her name while running to the helm, he looks at Tia, who smiles and dives over the edge.
Jack runs and tries to dive over the edge, but is stopped by his father. "Wait Jack, wait for the opportune moment". He holds Jack until the water is still, calm and restless as though there was no life within.......
Someone elses turn...
Ooh, Norrington dead and Liz taken by the dragon lady.... this is a challenge.
Elizabeth struggled to escape the Dragon Lady's grasp, but that combined with the fighting for air began to become too much.
"Relax, miss. You can breathe just fine," Tia approached her.
"You horrid *****!" Liz screamed at her, still fighting to free herself. "Either let me drown so you can leave Jack and the others alone, or they'll do something you won't want them to do."
"You're not in a position to make threats," she grinned at her.
"Oh maybe I'm not, but they are," Liz shouted, a delirious happiness coming over her. "They have the heart. The heart that controls the whole ocean. And once they drive a sword through it, there will be no Davy Jones anymore!" She fought the urge to laugh without control.
For a moment, Calypso stayed silent.
"You're lying."
"Am I? Resurface and ask them. They'll let you watch them do it!" Please, Jack, she thought, or Will, or whoever has it. Just stab it now.
"I take it then Barbosa and the East India Trading Company will just call off their search for Jack if Davy dies?" she smirked.
Liz said nothing.
"You all have far more to worry about than Davy Jones," Tia warned, eyes glowing.
"Well then," Liz shrugged. "If that's true, they'll just stab it and be done with it all."
"No!"
Back on the Pearl
All the men stared down at the heart.
Will: Is everyone in agreement we do this now?
Gibbs: We'll have no better time, gents. Don't you think Calypso will be able to sense it happening?
Jack: We'll make sure she does. Have at it, Will.
Will: Me? You want me to do it?
Jack: Obviously I can't be around when Calypso comes calling, can I?
Will: So she can snatch me off?
Bill: I think I understand. Go on, son. Rid the world of the Flying Dutchman's curse.
(Will takes his sword)
Will: What if it's not the right time to save Elizabeth?
G. Sparrow: Then we'll figure out something else.
Just as the Flying Dutchman approaches, Davy leaps across onto the Pearl.
Gibbs: Do it, Will! Do it now!
Davy: No!
(Will jams his sword into the heart. Davy falls down dead. In a flash, the Flying Dutchman begins to crumble, its creatures rapdily turning back into men)
Men: Into the lifeboats!
(All of them escape as the former ship crumbles into dust and sinks to the ocean floor)
Bill: He's still moving!
(They approach Davy, weak and dying, gushing ink everywhere. His theme music begins to play)
Davy: The boy. Young William Turner?
(Will, against his better judgement, leans down)
Davy: Someone will take my place. Someone else will know my pain. (dies)
Will stands up shaken after what Davy had said, as Calypso rises from the water to see Davy lying dead and Will holding the knife which stabbed the heart. She begins to scream.
Her scream shatters,lamps as the men cover their ears to block out the noise. Her eyes begin to roll as she stares at Will holding the knife, she begins to glow.
"Now you will suffer!"
Davy begins to move gently, until he stands up, and grabs Will's knife.
Calypso grabs Liz who was thrown out of the water by the Dragon Lady and Liz begins to scream as the noise pounds through her head robbing her of her senses.
The others watch in terror as Liz drops to the ground, still and unmoving, but not dead. Davy having been revived is restored with his heart grabs Calypso and they disappear as the light vanishes.
Ooh, something tells me we haven't heard the last of them.
Will: Elizabeth! (they all run to her. Will is the first face she sees, but she clearly looks around for Jack)
Liz: Davy Jones? Is he...?
G. Sparrow: He's gone, miss. Back with his Calypso. There's no Flying Dutchman in store for Jack.
Bill: Don't get too comfortable, everyone. We still have the whole EITC and Barbosa to worry about. But with Captain Jack leading us...
Jack: Sad lot of a crew this is. All right. (clearly has a headache from all the goings-on) Who thinks they can hold the compass and take us somewhere useful?
Gibbs: All I want now, Captain, is a nice safe place to have a bit of rum and a good night's rest.
Jack: Lead the way. (Gibbs takes the compass and it leads them to a quiet island inn where they don't ask questions)
Okay, guys! Big scene ahead! Someone can run with it when I get done.
Jack: Do you ever get tired of getting into trouble?
Liz (spins around, surprised): Jack! I'm sorry. We could have destroyed the heart and been done with it if I hadn't been taken.
Jack: It's me she wanted, love, not you.
Liz: Was I just a way to get to you then? (Jack stays silent) Don't you ever get tired of keeping secrets?
Jack: A pirate can do whatever he wants, and I like keeping secrets.
Liz: Who is the man with Will's father? Why does he care so much?
Jack: Let's just say he's a liason.
Liz: He's your relation isn't he? (smiles to have figured it out) Distant cousin? Uncle?
Jack: Father
Liz: I didn't know your parents were alive, Jack.
Jack: Only half of them are, love. You've just become acquainted with the former governor of Singapore. (notices Liz's shock) I wasn't born a pirate, you know.
Liz: Then we really are peas in a pod (she edges closer) Did you say a pirate can have whatever they want?
Jack: Well, not always (he refuses to look at her)
Liz: Then tell me what it is you want that you can't have (her heart is beating rapidly. She's very nervous about what he'll say, hoping he'll say what she wants to hear)
Jack: One thing keeps escaping me (looks right at her)
Liz (after a long pause): I'll only ask you once and then I'll be done with it, do you love me, Jack?
Jack: I'd be mad not to.
