The Official Magneto Respect Thread

- Mags wrecks an Australian air force base...
- Then goes to into space to visit Asteroid M.
- Learns that his powers work at a Sub-Atomic Level.
- Apparently his research could earn him a Nobel Prize particle Physics.
- Mags has been using his powers to subtly manipulate the Earths Magnetic Field inhibiting ALL long ranged telepathy on Marvel Earth.
- Mags returns to his terrestial base from space the time frame...is unknown.
- Takes a blast from Cyclops again.
- Storm removes the humidity out of the air to try and inhibit Magnetos powers but he it doesn't have much effect.
- Takes a hit from Banshee and. his shields take a hit from Phoenix again.
- Manages to take hits from Colossus.
- Takes a shot to the head from Colossus without his helmet.
- Flings the X-Men away using his powers and escapes from his base...which is about to be destroyed.

Young Magneto destroys a military base...and overpowers techonology that was designed to make his powers backfire tenfold.

Okay from the many scans before...we've already established that Mags has telepathy. However a few pages back...Mags mind controls Bobby's parents by something he called Magnetic Attraction. The thing that puzzled me was why call it Magnetic Attraction if it was basic Mind Control.
Anyway I came across this little incident...where Mags had also built a machine that allowed him to control people. So apart from having actual telepathy, Mags also had a machine that allowed him to use a limited form of telepathy.

Anyway here he confronts Dr Doom:

Here's a monster strength feat by Magneto. He picks this poor bastard up by the neck and chucks him like a rag doll.

Here's Magneto squaring off against the Avengers and he told them that he was controlling 37 satellites around the world as they were talking.

- A weakened Magneto who is on the verge of losing contact with the Earths Electromagnetic Field takes on Polaris.
- He manages to out skill her giving himself enough time to jump in the machine which repairs his DNA.
- He fries Pietro and Wanda from inside the machine.
- Mags finally regains contact with the Earths Magnetic field and his powers are restored. .

- Mags then blows up the machine and the lab.
- Crushes the Avengers while holding Polaris, Wanda and Pietro captive in an EM shield.
- Picks up Fabian Cortez magnetically from 50 miles away. Causes Cortez to travel the 50 miles in seconds. And then smashes Cortez into the ground....killing him.
- Magneto in Genosha controls 37 Orbital Satellites repostioning them. Tony can confirm this.
- Magneto shows the Avengers compassion and allows them to leave his country.

Pietro is on a speed rampage....Magneto subdues him and every other combatant in metal hoisting them into the air

I think I'll add this here just for the sake of adding it.

Storm attacks Magneto with her Lightning.

Magneto sticks his hand out of his shield to absorb Storms lighting and in doing so HE BREAKS HIS OWN shield/bubble.

Storm then attacks Magneto whose shield is already "Broken"/Dissolved because he let his hand through it, with her winds.

Therefore she did not break his shield. Magneto broke/dissolved his own shield.

- Magneto somehow managed to bend Cyclops Optic Blast here. If Scotts blasts are really made of gravitrons then...does that mean Magneto can control gravitrons?

- Magneto can change the way he percieves the world . He can view the world as patterns of Force and Energy.
- Magneto can see the shift in alignment in Colossus' structure.
- Magneto can draw energy so he can view the world at a molecular and atomic level. He is able to see every atom and molecule in Colossus' body.
- From what I can make out...there's a lot of junk being described...he restores Colossus structure back to normal.(Read the scan to see how he does it..I don't feel like hurting my head over some mumbo comic science talk)

I'm posting this for comic relief
- Mags controls a missile.
- Not even Captain Americas shield is safe from Magnetos powers.
- Mags beats on Capt.
- Capt and Mags get thrown by the Hulk.
- Mags cushions his own fall with his Magnetic Powers.

You can guess what happens next...Capt wins because there's no metal in the desert. But like I said it's good comic relief.

Magneto takes on X-Force:
- He rips a machine apart
- Holds a moving Cannonball(Samuel Guthrie) at bay with the Iron in the blood trick.
- Takes a hit from Meltdown.
- Flings Wisdom 100 yards
- Stops Proudstar in his tracks and traps X-Force in a circle of Magneto debris moving at very high velocities.
- Eeesh Dani...what happened to you? Quantam what?
- Knocks out Dani.
- Obviously Mags is not trying to kill his Ex-students.

- Magneto is on the verge of losing his Magnetic Powers therefore in this issue he has to rely on his other power....his Psychic Powers.
- Magneto Astral Projects.
- Fudges up Jeans mind by sticking his Astral hand through her head. His mind according to himself is more powerful then Novice Jean.
- Also note that the Volcano is causing interference with Psychic powers. Mags is still able to keep up his Astral Projection.
- Mags seems uneffected by the Psychic Interference while Jean is.
- Another reference to the second most powerful mind on the planet.(Doesn't mean much because it's coming from him. But if you look back you'll find the narrative calling him that in one of his early UXM appearances.)

- Magneto talks about how he survived his encounter with X-Men in UXM #63.
- More Astral Projection.
- He also talks about his other power he rarely uses.
