No, you were going to say 'congrats' but you noticed that the majority of people posting here are against Randi and her news, so you jumped on the bandwagon. I'm disappointed in you, especially because you've changed your mind about your response and defended your choice by acting like you're sticking up for someone else. Please, David.

What the hell?

I see snobbish post of hers, turns my thoughts rather negative. End of story. Does that explain it?

Heck, what would a bandwagon be if no one jumped on it.... 😉

That is such a cop-out. Honestly mhm

David, I don't think 'snobbish' is the right term. More 'defensive', albeit in a less than suitable manner. Wouldn't you be the same? Read the whole thread, people were literally tearing her apart for sharing her news, the positive responses are few and far between. I just thought better of you, that's all.

People need to chill out in this forum. 😛

That's great, but irrelevant.

I know what Fianna comes from and I never said it was less interesting than Randi.

So, I made whose point?

So, Randi doesn't have it's own meaning because it originates from a Masculine name? Non Sensical.

Just because it comes from a masculine name doesn't render it to not have it's own meaning. It's OWN MEANING is that it COMES from Randy.

You're name is Lana, right? I assume your full name is Alana or Svetlana? Well, Alana happens to be the feminine form of Alan, and Alan means "Little rock". Woohoo!

The second part of post wasn't addressed to you specifically, so just back your high horse up a little bit there now. 😉

Alana is a name in it's own right... 🤨

My full name is Alana, however, you are wrong on the meaning.

Alana is an alternate spelling of the Celtic name Alannagh, which comes from the phrase "o leab" (I believe that is the proper spelling), which means "oh child", and the name itself means maiden.

Either that or I spent lots of my teenage years studying names.

I love names.

My name means peace in greek 😊

Meh, I'm not looking for prizes or any kind of gratification, I'll stick with my original statement... 😊

Each as good as the other, except one takes seconds and the other...well as you've already said; takes years.

I read the first page and dropped in a comment, I didn't know everyone else was shooting at her.

"Defensive"...read the part I quoted. More like a whip. Could have chosen to take that part better. Still on the first page, not like the entire forum's already charging.

And she already annoys me.

No, I mean, I actually studied into the deepness of naming methods of different cultures and such during history and after that, I spent much of my time searching through various names and meanings.

And in comes Matt, probably capitalizing on the first chance he sees to downplay me. Genius, genius.

Anytime you post, it's a chance to downplay you. You're not that important.
