Genesis 1 and 2 DO conflict...even St. Augustine wrote on this.

I'm not concerned about EvoWiki.

Augustine's writings do not an authority make.

No, but the entire opinion of the educated scholarly community does. Augustine is historical proof of this conflict, even from within the mainstream Christian church.

Once again, they do not. You will find that they are very agreeabel if you do research on it.

I have, I don't know how you can possibly construe it as nto conflicting.

EVERY major scholar I have consulted sees the conflict. The only people that seem to disagee are on KMC.

Did you actually talk to theologists....or just random "scholars" (a.k.a. your ass)?

There may be bullshitters on this forum, I'm not one of them.

Debatable.

Ok, you want names?

Michael Ruse, Ron Numbers, Lynn Nyhart. May mean little to you, two are professors at my univeristy, one is a philosopher who recently gave a speech here.

I'm curious. What is the alleged contradiction? I'm not familiar with it I suppose.

The orders and mechanisms of creation differ between the two stories.

I think a rigorous exegesis will reveal Genesis 2 to be complimentary of Genesis 1 rather than a conflicting account. It is not enough to look at the english translations for matters of nuance. You need to examine writings as close to the original autographs as possible and all the while keeping in mind the intent of the author, the purpose of the passages, and the context of the language it's written in. And with today's textual related sciences we can do just that was great accuracy.

Yes, and apparently there's still conflicts.

Like what for example?

I should jet email Numbers and get an indepth response instead of consturcting half assed arguments when I have not the time.

I bet he would not believe you anyway. After all, you are a satan controlled zombie who god has hidden the truth from. 😆

How about a peaceful compromise... can "we' say that 'God created Evolution'?
