Sadly enough, it's the God believing people who would reject this more than not. "The Bible (or other religious text) states how God did things!" a.k.a God does what we... err... HE says he does.
I even had one tell me that god made the universe to look older then it is. 😆

It is an exaggeration, but it is not made up.
But it's not a belief I hold, so as it pertains to me...it's made up.
Also, I was joking with Alliance about fundamentalist Christians in general. Not everything is about you.
I must've been confused when you used the pronoun "he" to Alliance since I was the "he" he was talking to about it. But of course, it's not your inaccurate language which confused me but my ego just getting in the way.

1. I don't know how you believe.
2. You should think that why more often. Maybe you will be happier in the long run.

When you look at what other people write or say, assume the positive, and freely give the benefit of doubt. That always leads to a better life.
Why would I assume you're not poking fun at me? You laugh at Christian beliefs all over this forum as far as I can tell.
But fine.
Looking back on you Shakya, your perception of Buddhism is fundamentalism. You see buddhist teachings, then interpret them into real life to say, "Ah, this is what it means, that thing people discovered. Not what you think it means taking it literally." like reincarnation. Does it mean one life turns into another directly, or that one life changes and becomes others due to the laws of nature. Now, I'm not a buddhist so I wouldn't know. But who knows when it's written thousands of years ago?

This is also the advice I give myself, every time you post. 😂 jk
I don't think I've said anything that could be construed as making fun of what you believe.
BTW you can laugh at Buddhism all you wish. Laughter is alway good medicine.
I disagree. I think laughter can be used in spite as well. But, I wouldn't ridicule someone for their beliefs.

😕 I'm not sure what you are talking about. I wouldn't call myself a fundamentalist Buddhist. Do you know any other Buddhists? 😄
