I dont think you understand how science works. If theres a theory, it needs to be tested again and again, then that person writes a paper on it, but before it can be published, it needs to be sent to various referees to legitimise it, and test if its valid, fake, or just shit

No, they cannot lie. Because they have to write and publish papers, and the competition is unbelievable.
