The photo wasn't the problem, the problem was the reaction to it.

Nobody said hide anything, but it's not being an ass hole when someone comments on something you posted on a public forum. So *that* kind of reaction is the problem.

You see if you noticed, when she said she was uncomfortable I apologized and dropped the subject. It was only other people who had to come and bring it up again.

So once again: people like you are prolonging a discussion about something she admitted she was uncomfortable with. You are the one doing more harm.

When the subject changed from self harm to anorexia, even more ignorant comments were made..

The issue isn't the photo, or people saying "don't be rude about scars" or defending immaturerainbow etc.. it's being rude. jfc.

It's not about having the last word, but the matter was settled. You continually want to bring it up. You can certainly continue replying and keeping the discussion going if you want. It's not rude to comment on a photo someone willingly posts. Once they say it makes them uncomfortable and you continue? Then it is rude.

It was settled, but more people had to come in and wag their finger for some reason.

Why do I need to defend my actions? Here is the course of events:

-A picture was posted, the cuts were visible
-someone, who apparently knows the poster well, comments on it
-other people wag their finger
-I respond thinking since the picture was willingly posted he wasn't wrong to comment
-poster who posted it says talking about the cuts makes her uncomfortable
-I apologize

Nowhere did I insult anyone or act intentionally rude or cruel. Yet here you are insulting me and calling me a dense moron. Nobody here was trying to offend this person. Other people are getting more upset over it than the actual person who posted it and I find that truly odd.
