The 'emo' sterotype and discription is ridiculous

Speaking of, WTF is an "Indie"?

Give me one of Peter's characteristics that makes him emo.

In Spider-Man 3, since Peter becomes all dark he starts combing down his hair and gets a side fringe. Everyone says "Peter is emo!!!"

Peter got a fringe? But I thought the was bald! What is it with giving characters hair? Tea'lc from SG, Krillain from DBZ, now Peter Parker. Outrageous.

Give me one of Peter's characteristics that makes him emo.

I think he, like I, was joking. Because to my knowledge few people, other then self confessed emos themselves, are making an emo connection with the film version of Peter Parker. The same way bald men tend to connect their baldness with bald stars - like Professor X. Baldness is distinguished and all that.

Argument over, and I'm serious. Not that it'll sink in.

Am I the only one who's noticed that kids on this forum have no problem dropping the word facism/t every time someone shows opposition to their beliefs, and that they seem to do so without having the slightest idea what facism/t even means?

Authoritarian **** just doesn't have the same impact. Neither does totalitarian. Fascism is a good word to call out idiots who think that they have the right to impose their moral values on others. It is factually incorrect, but it works.

Except it's not used when people want to 'impose their beliefs'. These people throw it out for stupid crap, like saying that someone doesn't like a certain type of jeans. It's idiotic.

Individual, who likes Alt. music and dresses different to others. Kinda complicated but think about someone who doesn't follow anything mainstream, that's Indie.

Indie's not just short for Indian. It has muliple meanings like Atheism.

Not technically a trend, seeing as the only thing we have in common is we have long hair and same opinions on music and stuff. It's like calling Atheism a religion.

That doesn't really make to much sense though... Because if you have 10,000+ people 'not following trends' but dressing, acting and thinking a certain way, they themselves make a "trend".

It's like a bunch of people who rebel without a clue to what they're rebelling against and think themselves "nonconformist", yet they are conforming to their own trends, ideas and ideals.

Did any of you participate in the National Beat Down an EMO-KID day?

I was working so I didn't get to go this year but next year I'm there. EMO's better hide I'm coming to getcha.

If you don't know what National Beat down an EMO-kid day is look it up on google then join the fun next year.

Stupid kids.

I have an idea to make everyone happy.

Let's call the "emo kids" Femos, which stands for Fake-Emo. Good times. You all can thank me later.

What bothers me the most is now you can't even be yourself, individualistic, without being labeled.

Quite, you goth!

Oh! That raises a good point, anyone that tries to be goth gets called emo. It's like all goths have been replcaed by emos.

BackFire, I missed you eyes

Are you really being individualistic if you intentionally dress like a group that already exists?

No!

Oh, wait. Unless the group is emo. Then you're an individualist. Duh!
