[B]That doesn't really make to much sense though... Because if you have 10,000+ people 'not following trends' but dressing, acting and thinking a certain way, they themselves make a "trend".

My thoughts exactly...

Anyone of dresses themselves up to look like a Goth or emo is a dumb ass little kid who needs to grow up and stop following fads.

I'm talking about "indies", which I took to mean "individuals", not people that are hung up on grunge rock and flannel shirts.

These days, it's impossible to be yourself as far as attire goes.

Kids and fads are synonymous. It's how they blend in, which is rich, because the people that are bullying those fad followers are in a fad of their own.

Well, that is if you consider terrorism a fad.

Correction: Labels are ridiculous. People are complex beings that do not need to be ridiculed because of how they dress or what music they listen to.
We are not cans of soup, we don't need labels.

Too bad ARSECLOWN got banned. His satire is just the sort of thing this thread needs.

I disagree.

No, "Indies" would mean independant. And the only people I know who are hung up on grunge rock and flannel shirts are lesbians.

It's like a bunch of people who rebel without a clue to what they're rebelling against and think themselves "nonconformist", yet they are conforming to their own trends, ideas and ideals.

Yes, but they only follow what others like because they like it too. They didn't think if they don't like it they'll be shunned or uncool. You could call it a trend, but A: It's not mainstream, and B: It's a comparison to what everyone else does, C: The people who are indie like different things to eachother, but if gave what another was listening to a chance, would probably like it also.

What bothers me the most is now you can't even be yourself, individualistic, without being labeled.

"I am unique like everybody else."

That gal is a social cancer. A "juggalo". See how its eyes have recessed into its skull? That's the first sign.
